GeoEye Poised to Go Higher Even as Main Competitor Goes Public

Here is my question. How long does it take to hire a CFO? This company has been without a CFO since December. Of all the companies, this one needs a good CFO. They do not have a track record of astute fiancial management and without a head guy for the last five months things could not have improved.

Is it that they can't find someone, or that nobody wants the job?

GeoEye: Back on Track?

How did you come up with April 1 as the new due date. I count 15 days from the original due date of March 16 and come up with March 31. Either way, today is the 31st and not a peep from GeoEye on when they will have the call. As expected they are playing this close mouthed and doing damage to the small amount of credibility they have left.

By the way, any word on a new CFO? That issue is beginning to trouble me.

I worry about investing in a company that does not seem interested in communicating with their investors. It is usually a sign of something more serious and at the very least means the CEO and CFO are handling the chores of IR and not focusing on running the company.

Hey Chris, if you communicate with these guys (GEOY) tell them to get a clue and get some IR help. Firing the CFO is never good news, but in this case the guy may have had it coming. However, trying to sneak it past people in the second item of an 8K with no press release and no comments provided is just hack. Investors have good reason to sell this stock if management is not willing to be be honest and transparent with the bad news.
