You are such a partisan with an ax to grind it's ridiculous. Look, nimh and especially lead acid don't have the necessary specific energy to do the job in a full electric automobile. AKA: they're too heavy. That's all there is to it. Lithium ion lifetime is inadequate right now but lithium iron phosphate will bring sufficient duty cycle to do the job of powering an electric car.
