That is impressive research. I'm still trying to figure out what it all means but thank you for taking the time to try and explain it.

  • Who Says The Production Of The Model X Is Risky For Tesla? [View article]
I appreciate your insight and agree with your conclusion- full steam ahead for Tesla Motors. However, I'm still unclear about the execution risk involved in its production. You briefly mentioned the ingenious "skateboard" design's advantages, but I'm interested in what the company will do to expand their production operations.
For example, will they open new factories? If so, where and when? What advancements will they make to increase output?

Perhaps if someone could suggest the model most car companies use when starting out, we could make some more in-depth sales projections. The numbers look low to me as well considering some of the better established industry standards.

  • The True Genius Of Tesla [View article]
That age old, hackneyed saying is almost as outdated as your perspective of the world Mr. Peterson.

Seriously do not bother arguing here. This is a battle of ideology, not on a company. The politics here are obvious, and the arguments are clear. What the majority of people here and most money minded people in general don't understand is that not everyone invests in companies simply because of what may, or may not, be on the balance sheet. Tesla is going to change the world regardless of what the oil caucus, or the old boys like Mr. Peterson, would like to believe. In the mean time, we can sit back and watch the death throes of an old system.

  • When Will The Tesla Investment Unravel? [View article]
It's a good thing for comments because SeekingAlpha is certainly lacking peer review, or any other form of fact-checking for that matter. I am not yet a diehard Tesla/Musk fan but I must say the more bad arguments, like this one, I see the more convinced I am Tesla is going to be huge.
My point being, there's nothing wrong with a sobering dose of skepticism but plain misinformation and ignorance should be punishable by excommunication, at the very least.

  • Tesla's Future Looks Brighter As Cash Flows Turn Positive [View article]
What do people make of the link pat1000 added.

In summary, I directly copied the information below from the site:

Number of Insider Trades 6 37
    Number of Buys 1 2
    Number of Sells 5 35
    Net Activity 9,498 (4,331,072)
    Total Shares Traded: 61,298 4,474,416
Number of Shares Bought: 35,398 71,672
Number of Shares Sold: 25,900 4,402,744

I'm no expert, but the number of shares sold seems significantly disproportionate to those bought. Is this of interest to anyone else?

  • Tesla Motors (TSLA -5.3%) trades lower without any significant news of note out. While there is some buzz out on Tesla reporting itself cash flow positive, SA pointed to Elon Musk's self-congratulatory tweet on that topic a week ago. Perhaps traders are worried that with the public launch of Solar City and Space X firing off commercial rockets, Musk is spreading himself rather thin. [View news story]
It's definitely got something to do with the IPO of Solar City. It's moved up 30% since it opened, why would this hurt TSLA?

If you had to say, what do you think the time span would be of a long position in TSLA?
