This is a great idea, I hope more people consider it. You should also talk to some of the national politicos who are looking to make a name for themselves.

    What?

How does rewarding "Rich Agents" help me the shareholder? I would suggest that management focus on treating everybody the same, and as they only issue policies in Michigan.

FREMONT MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO LISTEN ...

Buying shares is stupid - keep the money in the Company while cash is king, don't give away equity to agents, they should get paid once for doing their job, not twice with a share giveaway.

The revolving door capitalist only get let in when management does not serve the shareholders.

While I appreciate your User 300463's feedback to the article, I think you miss Mr. Long's point. Why should independent agents be rewarded at the expense of the shareholder? While I agree that management must continue to focus on its sales force, why should this giveaway to independent agents "stock purchases" be done at the expense of the independent shareholder who is paying retail for the stock????

This indicates an entrenched management who is attempting to sacrifice the very investors who provide the independent agents with the RISK CAPITAL necessary to build the great company you rail positively on about. Where is management when it comes to creating real value for its shareholders? They seem to be trying to "bailout" the independent agents by giving them our assets instead of focusing on building value and having the independent agents make the same kind of "investment decision" that we shareholders are making.

My investment is currently underwater, so I don't see the great value in selling discounted shares to "independent agents" - instead management should encourage them to come support the company by buying through the market. Often when people get too close they forget the consequences of their actions as they are focused on helping their friends. Management's short-sighted actions will likely cause investors such as myself to become more active and seek a focus on value for the shareholders which leads to the sale of a company, and likely a change in strategy.

AS AN AGENT, YOU SHOULD ENCOURAGE MANAGEMENT TO TREAT SHAREHOLDERS/INVESTORS AS PARTNERS OR THEY RISK CREATING A CHANGING DYNAMIC ...
