I'm long gold for all the reasons stated, but if the Fed can drop interest rates to nil, and if the Treasury can print dollars ad nauseum, why can't both entities reverse their policies down the road, ideally when markets and economies stabilize--and when inflation rears its ugly head?
I mean Bernanke could raise interest rates, and the Treasury can start tightening the money supply, can't they?
