  • First Solar Earnings: Eight Points About the Solar Industry [View article]
Not forgetting that when oil price elevate from next year onwards, polysilicon price move up, etc, all these will make solar a more economical source of power. There is a leadtime to build and have all the infrastructure in place, those guys know that. That's why some governments, e.g. China, are already or had invested in solar. I'm a buyer of FSLR at current price, considering the biggest solar farm in the world to be build. The potential is good.

  • Bank of America's Gain Is Taxpayers' Loss [View article]
Seems that some americans like to complain, no matter what. They complained about Obama helping the banks (while missing the big picture that if that was not done, it will lead to a global disaster), now they complained about BAC. I see the whole issue differently: Obama has done a great job by avoiding a global crisis while making some nice money along the way for americans. They need to learn to be grateful and thankful to this great president. I'm not an american and Obama's reputation overseas had soared because of his wisdom. If it was Bush, good luck to America. He will spend all the money on starting a war, somewhere, with zero returns and many american killed. I'm also not politician, I just want to speak what many overseas countries think about your current president. He's under a lot of stress trying to rescue your country but had been criticised endlessly. What a mockery.

  • Picking Solar Energy Winners [View article]
Yup. I had a position in FSLR and still looking to buy more. China has many cheap solar manufacturers. Despite this, the fact that China had endorsed FSLR is a bullet proof testimony for the company. The world largest solar plant, my friend, do you have any idea how big that is in China? I will ignore what the shorts are saying, because their aim is to drive down the price to cover their positions but I'm afraid they will be sorry and rush to cover their ass soon.

  • Solar: Energy's New Growth Sector [View article]
Stay with the leader, both in costs and technology, FSLR. Anyone can do solar, but none as good as FSLR. Their order pipelines are filled for the next 3 years. Just give a thought why the chinese government engaged FSLR, when they have so many solar companies themselves. It's because they understand that FSLR have both the technology and costs advantage.

  • First Solar Short Interest Shrinks [View article]
It should be below 10%, the last few days had many shorts coverings when price jump up. They will die soon if they don't cover fast and head to $200. Just wait and see....

  • Cramer's Mad Money - Cramer Loves Martha (9/15/09) [View article]
Don't agree. I do business with Flex. They are in deep shit and agressively cutting costs to stay afloat. The price has over run too much from fair value of $4.

  • First Solar's New CEO Gets Nice Pay Package [View article]
Yup. There is a wrong twisted preception about the solar glut and then the chinese make them cheaper. I am amused when I read those ignorant articles. I am votng with my money because FSLR has technology advantage (being a semicon engineer I know) and cost advantage. The huge plants in Malaysia has order filled till 2011. I went there recently to solicite business for my company and could not find a parking lot for a while even though it has a huge compound and hundreds of parking lots. Morale is high among the workers. When I got back, I saw the China news, and asked myself why wait. Has been buying the last few days and will look to accumulate more down the road. This 10 year project will make FSLR even stronger. What the chinese hope to do is they can learn the technology from FSLR, which is the reason none of the local solar companies were selected, the chinese are not stupid.

  • Take Advantage of Weakness in Metals and Mining [View article]
Everything comes down in a recession or deflation, including commodities prices. So if you are afraid of a big correction in the stock market, keep your money in the bank. So buy BAC, because they got cheap money and earn good interest for lending money out.

  • 2009 Is Looking an Awful Lot Like 2008 [View article]
    1. Stock market leads the economy or improving fundamentals, not the other way round as someone mentioned here.
    2. The crowd and economists or experts are often wrong.
    3. The worst is over. Recovery may be slow, but many will regret sitting on the sideline, waiting and waiting. Many of you already missed the first run up, do you want to miss the # 2 and #3? The way you guys are spreadng fear, there is alot of caution in the market. So I don't think it will crash again.
    4. We cannot catch the timing, so it's better to invest near the bottom or after recovery is confirmed, like right now and sit through for a few years.
It's alright if you don't agree, but I'm doing that, still sitting on my paper profit, when everyone say the worst has YET to come at the beginning of this year, why are you buying, you stupid??. I just laughed....wait and see what happened.

  • The Rally in Financial Stocks Accelerates [View article]
I had been looking to buy BAC at around $12, but was skeptical like most people. And watching Friday's surge, and giving a call to my broker after remembering some one told me "Don't Fight The Market", I decided to jump in BAC on Friday. The strong momentum will carry it to $25 to $30 in the next 6 months. Good luck..

  • Will General Electric Doldrums Affect the Market? [View article]
Don't believe the analysts, they are paid to write down stocks so that their clients can buy. Trust your own judgement. For me, GE is an indicator of the world economy, which will eventually recover. Go ahead and sell, the lower the better, because I can't wait to pick up more.

  • China Gives Hope to Chip Makers [View article]
i used to be a chartered shareholder and had since sold all at a loss. better to take the balance and put them elsewhere to recover the loss. it's wiser to sell chartered, it's a hopeless company. profit for less than 1 year follow by huge losses for the next 4 years, even when everyone else is making profit. hopeless management team, heavy top with many retirees as advisors from loser companies like motorola semi coupled with government style bureacracy and management style. huge debts expiring soon abt $ 1.5B too, even the recent rights issue will not help much.
