What do you think are the reasons that the Chinese Government and/or the YuChai group management haven't done anything significant to change the situation? The ONLY reason I can think of is that neither the Chinese Government nor the YuChai group wants to be viewed as anti-foreign investments, not even a little bit. Unfortunately, HLA was part of foreign investment, albeit the worst kind.
They are learning fast, though. The Chinese. The YuChai group has become a strong entity of its own and the Machinery is being gradually marginalized. You may have noticed that many new developments from YuChai are from the "Group" and are purposely avoiding any associations with Yuchai Machinery.
Do our common share holders have any rights at all? Anybody knows? If not, why do we own these shares?
