I am adding to LNCO today. If the drops keep coming, I'll keep buying.

  • Jim Cramer Sells Linn Energy, Tells Investors To Buy Kinder Morgan [View article]
That's what makes Cramer (and Zack's) so worthless. Things go from a strong buy, you buy... then the price drops and it's suddenly a sell. It's an incoherent investment strategy.

I really like KMI, I would like to add. It doesn't matter if the producers of natural gas make or lose. KMI makes on volume - sure to grow dramatically. Not to mention that it's WAY undervalued now.

  • Linn Energy Just Can't Catch A Break [View article]
This is exactly the situation I keep dry powder for. Sentiment is bad. It's bad, bad, bad. Exactly the time to keep buying. My rule is never to buy in with my full investment at one time. I don't see the bear case for LNCO. Most dividend stocks are touted as high dividend with a yield of 4%. LNCO blows that away even if they cut their distribution 20% - which they are not going to do.

This is just another shake out of weak hands. The market isn't taking away... it's giving a new opportunity.

  • Linn Energy: A Very Disappointing Quarter [View article]
maybe growth will slow, but line is a giant and will keep growing. in the meantime, the dividend is more than adequate to support the current stock price. next quarter will likely be impacted by adverse weather, i'm thinking. but it looks to me like line will be able to keep the dividend at current levels without much concern.

  • Straight Talk On Gold - You May Not Want To Hear It [View article]
This article is absolute hogwash. I personally put 2 gold bars in my safe and I closed it tight. Surprise! There were a bunch of little gold bars nursing on the female gold bar when I opened it 9 months later.

  • Mississippian Lime: Tom Ward's 600,000-Acre Comeback [View article]
I can't fathom that anyone would be stupid enough to hand Ward a single dime after his track record at Sandridge. Perhaps he has deluded himself to think he did investors a great favor there and that the money he took from the company was justified. I think most people who have worked for their money would think otherwise. Personally, I hope Ward loses every dime he has invested here. I would never invest in a company that had anything to do with Ward.

  • There's no respite for Greece as retail sales fell 16.4% Y/Y in January, double the pace from the previous month. The grand total for retail sales contraction in Greece over the last four years: 34%.  [View news story]
they're going to have to find the bottom that they can sustain themselves without having other economies pump in enough to keep them afloat with loans they will never pay back.

i'd say it's a lot better for germany to export nothing to greece than to loan greece the money to buy their exports, but never get paid.

the greek people need to rediscover their work ethic. they aren't going to be able to retire at 50 and have other countries support them. they aren't going to be able to have a disability system so rife with fraud. they aren't going to be able to support pedophiles because their disease is a disability. their liberal government has ruined the country.

i honestly feel very sorry for hard working, honest greek people. they have a mountain of misery heaped on their shoulders.

greece needs continued austerity and a government which encourages work and capitalism. they are going to be in for a long and painful process, but will emerge a much stronger society - if they stay the course. the alternative? collapse and chaos.

  • Greece May Be Forced Out By Germany [View article]
it is impossible that the euro will be successful without creating across the board social programs wherein everyone in a euro country retires at the same age, has the same benefits, etc.

countries with low entitlements and high productivity (germany) have been asked to support those with high entitlements and low productivity (greece). it's just not going to work.

i say cut greece out and let them solve their own problems and fund their own society. when the other countries (france, spain, italy) see greece in flames, this will put the fear of god in them, and they'll be more than ready to agree to cede some control for the benefits of economic unity.

    i think it's a good move.
