• Silver Bug? 7 Stocks For You [View article]
SLW is a good company, however I believe that real value short term value lies in Pan American Silver, PAAS.

They are sitting on a cool $500m+ cash, and I believe they will pay a special dividend in January of close to .$25c (5 times current divi yield, This is just a hunch BTW.!)

I believe this as in last earning call, management confirmed that they will meet annual production target which with Silver price this quarter being so high, could put them in the $300m revenue bracket (vs. $260m average analyst estimate) so a 15-20% beat.

Due to unrepeatable costs not occurring in q4, I believe that they will beat the EPS by min of 10% leading to a FTM EPS of $2+. At an industry average of 15 P/E you are looking at a minimum of $30 a share, not including cash, which should rise to a minimum of $560m this quarter.

Last but not least, the company has a mothballed asset (Manantial Espejo in Argentina) that is subject to some anti mining laws.

Basically the asset has been written off by the market. Should anything positive happen. The company could appreciate 15-20% in a day.

Lastly, they have also placed a floor on the SP by agreeing a 7 million share (not share value) but 7 million ($140m) share buyback.

All in all, its a solid company, with exceptional management, that are conservative and are starting to manage expectations, unforeseen issues and deliver.

• DEFCON 1: 5 Internet Security Stocks To Consider As Cyber Attacks Escalate [View article]
PANW looks like an AMAZING short from here, it has crashed through all its moving averages, and seems to be the proverbial falling knife.

There is nothing supporting the SP and results are not out for a few months now.

There is no director buying, I don't think that it is an acquisition target and hype seems to have gone out of this one.

Just a question of how good a short this is....20,000 shares or 50,000 shares??

My target is $35 dollars or below.

• Workday - The Absolute Definition Of A Bubble [View article]
WDAY is charting well right now, the 50 day MA just passed through the 20 day MA and as such it looks like it my rally with strong support around 50.56.

Definitely on the watch chart for a sizeable buy above $51.69 as maybe the momentum HFT may just get after it in the few weeks. No real resistance to $53.197 after that $55.4, then who knows.

I don't think its an acquisition target just yet, but then again I said that about Kayak and Tudou. Lol!!

• Glu Mobile: Adhesive For The Broken-Hearted [View article]
These are excellent points, Georgi fails to mention in the article that GLUU has yet to turn a profit after 11 years of mobile experience.
In fact it looks like 2012 will be another losing year.
Sadly it seems Georgi has been buying the management hype, especially the "we're not Zynga" mumbo jumbo. Well Zynga lowered its q4, so has GLUU, so is the whole freemium model being called into question? Will these companies ever make money??

I can see a further downward spiral with only upside potential coming from a potential acquisition.

If this was valued as Zynga currently is then the sp should be 32c. Zynga is being battered as it "cannot monetize web". How different a scenario is that from Gluu being unable to "monetize mobile"?
Big difference to me that is Zynga has 1.5BN in cash and equivalents and has wiggle room to change strategy, GLUU has $20m odd and seems stuck as a one trick pony.

I would like to see more SA "contributors" update their "stories" especially when their model has fallen to pieces.

This article started really well, highlighting the dot com madness of revenue over profitability, yet goes on to make the case for a company that is doing just that. I hope Georgi can see the irony in his opening gambit and what has happened to GLUU. I guess from the pictures that Georgi was around 12 when the dotcom era was in full swing, so its the old "those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it" Forget the management mumbo jumbo, revenue is vanity and profit is sanity.....end of story.

• Glu Mobile's Recent Drop Was Not Justified [View article]
Hi how do you feel about your analysis on GLUU now? Would you be as kind as to explain in as much detail as you did crunching the numbers here, what your proposed short, medium or long term trading strategy is for GLUU?

Did you close your position with a stop loss?

You have to admit that the recent sp collapse (in line with zyngas) was completely justified as GLUU have now also guided lower for q4. And some may be calling the whole web/mobile freemium game business model into question.

Just GLUU doesn't have 1.5BN in cash, what's it have like $20m?

I think GLUU is now wildly overpriced, and like Zynga should be valued at cash....so circa 32c a share.

• Glu Mobile Insider Quietly Gobbles Up $10 Million In Stock [View article]
Sorry cut myself short.....

Unless of course the mgmt had the heads up tht Zynga was going to come and save them, cash plus stock deal would suit all perfectly.

Hi, I apologize profusley, I worked with the wrong spreadsheet alogrithm and was on plane at the time staring at a tiny screen. If I could amend the above post I would, It was not intended to be a ramp.

In correcting the above post, you are on the money, since May 14th 2012 the managment team combined has purchased approximately $286,075 in the open market between $6-and $6.5.

I didnt mean to be facetious either by suggesting you do more research. It was a 100% error on my part.

I personally believe that DRCO will be acquired shortly up by a larger (synergystic) player looking for niche expertise and acess to DRCO's client base. Or, they may try to take it private?? Either way I believe that there will be good news for DRCO shareholders (I have no information more than anyone on the street BTW, its just a gut feeling).

The debt as you say is a potential issue, however if they implement a debt reduction plan, I think they will be able to get that well under control shortly.

Interesting it broke and held above its 20 day SMA today, (The Nasdaq did not) See here, hopefully te chart will show.

<img border='0' src='http://bit.ly/KUjkYX;
free<... stock charts from uk.advfn.com
This should certainly should be seen as a bullish sign. And it popped up late today on no news (maybe due to your article, please bring more attention to DRCO!!)

Good to talk and appreciate your reply.

Nice article, Im always a fan of the management "team" buying stock in thier own company and often follow stocks that are seeing such activity. I believe however that if you had done a tad more research, you would have maybe been able to grasp the magnitude of this buying. By my rough estimations the management have bought almost 250,000 shares between them with a rough value of $1.25m (or over 2% of the company) in the past few weeks alone.
