    Good article. Strongly put but that's what is needed. How do we get out of this? Let's stop going for the infinite growth plan for a start: the resources are not there and nor is the ability to continue it any longer without destroying what we already have. Instead of a bigger house, for example, why not a better house? A carbon neutral, energy efficient home that recycles its own waste is far more sustainable than a larger one that emits CO2 by the ton, burns oil by the barrel, and tips its own weight into landfill every year. It may even cost less in material, labour and energy in building than the big wasteful one. And our grandchildren would not still be burdoned with paying for the real cost of it, as they are doomed so to do now for the way we have been living.
