    Consumer confidence is down and the VIX has crept up: not much being said about these right now, but together and with the knowledge that results have been heavily massaged, and helped by one-offs in many cases, to pass muster, I for one am not expecting this market to move up much in the near future, and certainly expect it to fall back, if not soon, as soon as summer vacations have been taken and the real market can once again assert itself.

    Whilst it may be that we've been near the bottom or even at it, this recent bounce has a big leg down to come, especially in the financials. So do expect a reversal soon.
