General Electric’s Virtual Healthcare Economics [View article]
As the article implied, CT is old technology that the healthcare system still charges an arm and a leg !! Why doesn't healthcare costs come down with the use of old tech CT and MRI? The entire healthcare industry needs to be reformed.
The article was excellent. The responses are scary at best. I have one thought regarding health care. The insurance companies have long been behind this health care fiasco. They have bled this country dry. They will be the next big investigation in this country. Most of us who have worked all our lives to have what we have are terrified. Our healthcare insurance is our new mortgage payment! Wake up America. We need to quit expecting our employers to take care of us. Those are dreams of the past. If you need some stitches in your finger, pay for it yourself. You have a little cold - go to the doctor and pay for it yourself. We have used health insurance to death. Take some personal responsibility for your own health. Use catastrophic health insurance policies for the big bad things and pay for the little things yourself. Did you know you get a 40% discount for cash? That is all the insurance companies give you anyway. The money you save in excessive premiums well take care of the little things and you have some extra cash in your pocket.
Also, one other thing. Employers need to quit giving out 1099s to employees who work on a contract basis only. Look how much money this country is losing by employers not taking out the taxes from these people. That goes for the illegals too. It is a sad day in America when an illegal can come here, work, pay no taxes, have their babies (who then become Americans) and get free health care and prescriptions. We cannot afford to take care of all the people who don't pay any taxes in this country anymore. They have already bankrupted this Country and they just keep coming!!
Should GE Shareholders Sell to Protest MSNBC's Left Leaning News Bias? [View article]
MSNBC at night is a disaster!! I have never heard such treasonous, hatred talk in my life!! If they hate this country so much - get out!! The left-leaning NBC, ABC, and CBS of the world are slowly fading away just like the left-leaning newspapers!
"Mistakes were made at AIG, and on a scale that few could have imagined possible," CEO Edward Liddy writes in a WaPo op-ed this morning. "The most egregious of those began in 1987, when the company strayed from its core insurance competencies to launch a credit-default-swaps portfolio..." [View news story]
Do you see the date? 1987!! Wow - we all took advantage of the good times and now we are paying the piper! It had to happen eventually. We need to step back, take a deep breath and get back to the basics again. All Americans need is a decent job, a decent place to live (and it doesn't have to be a home you own), renting is not a curse it's a blessing!! Spend time with your family, help them with their school projects and let's get this country turned around again.
Ford, GM Expecting Lower Car Sales Than They Forecast [View article]
You must be kidding. I still own a 1999 Buick Regal that still runs great, gets excellent gas mileage and runs like a scalded dog when I need it to. I get 26 on the highway and 19 in town. Quit trying to knock down GM or Ford. If you take care of your automobiles they will last a long time. My 99 Buick Regal GS is black and looks like all the other jelly bean cars on the road today. Its style fits right in with today's Camrys and Altimas. They all tend to look alike anyway. Buy American and keep our economy running strong.

The high interest rates are charged to people who overspend and don't watch their budgets. We use our credit card strictly for convenience, not as another lending tool. That is what has happened to this spoiled overspending society that has been created by easy credit. Responsible credit card users will not suffer.
