  • Six Undervalued Stocks for 2010 [View article]
Irish banks. Banks go with the economy of the country and the author's prediction of the Irish economy back as a Celtic tiger in 2010 is possible but not likely. Ireland has the largest debt to population of any country in the world. A bank makes money lending and the Irish people aren't lining up to take out a loan, their housing prices are way down and tourism is just OK. Plus any mention of Nationalization and the PPS really goes into a death spiral. I'm a buyer, but when, as always, is the question.

  • What Is Keeping The Price Of Natural Gas High? [View article]
It is. Doubters like you are now laughable. You have no science to your claim , just a paranoid reaction that science is a liberal conspiracy. May I suggest you go long coal.

  • Why Municipal Bonds Aren't Worth the Risk [View article]
The muni bond market is about perceptions and the perceptions are muni bonds will be in trouble. There is no argument that is the general outlook or perception. Will muni bonds fall enough to be a great long term investment? Yea, I'm betting that perceptions are greater than reality. Muni bonds soon will be a screaming buy. Like it or not.

  • Global Warming Models: 'Out of Order'? [View article]
I think the skeptics are going to believe what they want. The arch conservatives would never believe global warming because it was first made popular by a liberal. What next doubters, The sun revolves around the Earth? Or Darwin is wrong. I mean all you doubting Thomas types, do you really think all that CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere is doing no harm and never will? Science is the new religion and you are all praying to old gods. Good luck. Your children's children will curse and laugh at you.

  • General Electric's Latest Discovery May Transform The LED And LCD Display Industry [View article]
The dividend is not horrible, 0% dividend is horrible. At roughly 3.5% dividend it is OK. GE is a well run company that acts more like a mutual fund with all their holdings. I would buy on the BIG correction coming---the correction we all know is coming and EVERYBODY says so. This is a $32 company. I think some investors, you know the types, that buy a company and when it doesn't go up that bad mouth them because they cannot be wrong, it is the company's fault.

  • A Fresh Look At Energy Royalty Trusts In The Bargain Bin [View article]
My mantra is: Oil is dope and people are addicts. Sure the price might go down to $70 for crude, but the future will always be bright for oil and NG. (Sorry coal, you are dead and should be. Dirty stuff) Just wait until the world economies get rolling, oil goes to $100 plus plus plus, not to mention international events that add a fear factor to the price.. As the saying goes. "You can pay me now or pay me later" for crude, but you will pay. I own several trust and will add. Thanks for the article. Well written.

  • Don't Buy The U.S. Growth Story: Fear It, Short It, And Profit [View article]
As soon as I read social security will not be there in the future I threw this article into the DOOM AND GLOOM arch conservative Republican Obama is a socialist the government is always wrong category. Short the US as much as you like. I don't know what the conservatives are going to do when Obama wins again. They will go apoplectic with more hate, lies and anger.

  • The Senate votes to table the Boehner debt plan 59-41.  [View news story]
A balanced approach is the best way. Close some damned tax loop holes and cut some programs. America is now the land of hate and a population with no bloody common sense about doing the right thing. America has lost its way, hence the rise of zealot 3rd parties who think they are on a mission from god.

  • The Market's 'Fifth Wave' Higher May Happen Suddenly [View article]
Human nature is NOT predicable. None of these wave THEORIES ever works. Sure after the fact they can point to some chart squiggle and say "See, the theory works." If they did work we would all be using wave theory or chart theory or tea leaf theory. Some people are just in love with numbers. Trading stocks is an ART form, not a science.

  • National Debt = Great Recession 2.0 [View article]
More END OF THE WORLD posts that have been and will continue to be wrong. How many posters complete with chart and grafts have been posting this same thing? Too many. We will make it out of the recession and are making progress. Sorry to bring sunshine to the doom and gloom fiscal conservatives and anti Obama haters.

  • Will the Tea Party Congress Bring Recovery? [View article]
The folks in Congress will not cut spending nor increase taxes---the only two ways to cut the deficit. Congress men and wmen are gung-oh to cut until the cut riffs out companys and working people in their district. We have elected people in Congress who look like us. That is, we all want tax breaks and favors and special deals. If you don't believe me let's start with eliminating tax breaks like child deductions, tax breaks for coprorations, an the home mortgage tax breaks. Let's cut spending for the VA hospitals and cut spending to all the police and fire departments in cities/counties. Americans don't have the guts to really stop spending and raise taxes. Come on get real America. The Tea Party will be just another failed attempt.

  • Bondholders Beware: The Bell Tolls for Thee [View article]
Excuse me if I doubt all this END OF THE (BOND) WORLD scenarios. The bond bubble has been talked about for years, YEARS and nothing. There has to be some kind of hyper economic activity to crush bond prices----none in sight. Sorry, it just ain't there. Plus did it ever occur to anyone that, OMG, the FED may get it right and there is a gradual bond decent. Of course not that would be saying something in the government works and you conservative Ayn Rand believers cannot accept that. I know the end of the world is upon us. Yawn.

  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
The US Chamber of Commerce has some nerve. These are the folks that fought every minimum wage increase, family leave, work place safety rules and as far as they're concerned everyone should be making $1.50 an hour with no benefits and no taxes on businesses.
