Generally institutions vote with management !!! If your info is correct unless SEC jumps in this is a done deal, I have heard any noise other then blogs to the otherwise. The data from Goldsmith is also positive also see local report. http://bit.ly/17K3wD5

Most of the shares are held by institutions who normally vote with management so I doubt this will be any different.

Maybe you should consider that oil has moved from 90.00 per barrel to 106.00 and that LINN is hedged so they must have increased DCF which was one of the contentions as to the value of the stock. The other contention was the merger might not go thru. LINN seamed to have addressed that with their latetest purchase in the Permian basin. In regards to the last issue the SEC investigation of their accounting methods unless they decide they did something illegal it most likely will result in a change in accounting method which it seems they have already done. Please let me know what other risk you are concerned with.

It seems to me the evidence is piling up that Barron's and others have failed in their attempt prove their points and its time to move on. In my opinion its time to evaluate Linn as a investment. I am long LNCO

  • Lower Production And Weak Guidance Hamper Linn Energy [View article]
Big trouble can be resolved by correcting production problems or cutting distribution slightly during the last half. If you buy @ 27 and div is cut to .90 the yield is still 10 % which is not bad. The big unknown is the SEC and legal costs. The longer the SEC drags their investigation out the more likly they will do nothing.
