  • High Premium / High Yield CEFs? Might Be Time to Move On [View article]
I am a disabled 63 year old having owned aod for over 2 1/2 years reinvesting the div every month, trying to build more shares and lowering my dca.I had planned on taking the div to live on in 15 months at age 65.With the extreame div cut 54%,I now decided to take the reduced div monthly and wait for things to get better. I only wish aod could have given its loyal believing shareholders a heads up before you and all your kind who pray on people to ruin their investments by shorting and piling on. when the company gets hit by world events like,Greese and the euro devaluating and div disappearing in Europe they had no choce. As far as your right to go public with your fear causing articles it only hurts stockholders, with you profiting , as you caused the house of cards to fall so far and so fast is a shame. I hope you choke on all your short profits as we the little guy suffers.I still beleive in AOD and its ability to shift their investing focus to growth companies.Time heals all and things will get better, but you are a ruthless individual.stop ruining peoples lives

  • Armour Residential REIT: A Lesson In Interest Rate Risk [View article]
AS LONG AS INTEREST RATES STAY LOW ,,ARR WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE MONEY ON THE SPREADS.. THE DIV YIELD FELL FROM 19% TO 17%,, STILL NICE WHILE THE COMPANY GETS LARGER.I KEEP REINVESTING THE DIV TO LOWER MY DCA. I BOUGHT 500 MORE @ $6.87. I'M NOT HAPPY THAT THE DIV WAS LOWERED TWICE IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS , BUT ONLY $.01 EACH TIME OR LESS THAN 10%. OTHER MONTHLY DIV COMPANYS LIKE CSP, , SLA , BSP AND ASP HAVE CUT LARGER AMOUNTS !!

WHAT CRYSTAL BALL DO YOU HAVE TO PRINT YOUR OPINIONS?? ITS OVER A YEAR SINCE YOU SAID PHK WAS WAS SELLING AT SUCH A PREMIUM TO ITS NAV, THEY WOULD HAVE TO CUT ITS DIV,, YOU GAVE IT A SELL SIGNAL , YOU SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO CUT THEIR DIVIDEND !! WELL ITS STILL PAYING.121875 MONTHLY .I SOLD IT ON YOUR ADVISE.SHAME ON ME . NOW YOU SAY SELL AOD . THEY JUST ISSUED 3 MORE MONTHLY DIV OF .055.FOR JAN FEB MARCH . MANAGEMENT SAYS THERE IS NO REASON TO CUT THE DIV AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN REINVESTING THE DIV EVERY MONTH LOWERING MY MY DCA . AS THE WORLD RECOVERS SO WILL THE MARKETS AND COMPANIES WILL BE ABLE TO START INCREASING THEIR DIV.AGAIN. HAPPY NEW YEAR,BUT STOP SCARING INVESTORS WITH YOUR OPINIONS,, COACH 'G'

  • Why I Believe It's Time to Sell Armour Residential [View article]
I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING SEEKING ALPHA FOR SEVERAL YEARS. MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH IT WAS WITH AOD.YOU SAID TO SELL IT . I DIDN'T. I HAVE BEEN IN AOD FOR MANY YEARS REINVESTING THE DIVIDEND, LOWERING MY DCA. MY PLAN IS TO HOPE OUR COUNTRY AND THE STOCK MARKET RECOVERS FROM THE IBIS WE ARE IN, YES THE STOCK AND NAV HAS DROPPED. MY PLAN IS TO ACCUMULATE AS MANY SHARES AS POSSIBLE . I THEN PLAN TO START TAKING THE DIV TO ADD TO MY MONTHLY INCOME IN A 3-5 YEAR WINDOW. I HAVE ACCUMULATED OVER 11K SHARES AT A DCA OF $6.21.MY NEXT EXPERIENCE WITH SA WAS YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT TO SELL PHK, BECAUSE ITS NAV WAS WAY BELOW ITS STOCK PRICE, PAYING A GREAT DIV OF .121875.WELL I LISTENED TO SA THAT TIME AND SOLD AT A SMALL PROFIT AFTER REINVESTING THE DIV FOR ABOUT A YEAR. THAT WAS ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND IT IS STILL PAYING THE DIV WITH NO CUTS. DAMMED IF I DO DAMMED IF I DON'T. I AM DISABLE TRYING TO LIVE ON FIXED INCOME. I LIKE THE MONTHLY PAY OUTS VS QUARTERLY, BECAUSE OF THE EXTRA BENEFIT OF COMPOUNDING FOR BETTER YIELDS. NOW I JUST BOUGHT 500 SHARES OF ARR @ 7.12. IT DID NOT TAKE A BIG HIT LIKE ALL THE OTHERS DURING THE LATE JULY AUGUST DOWNDRAFT, LIKE ALMOST ALL THE OTHERS. I AM ALSO CHARTING IGD,PSEC IID EOS AGD GGN ASP SLA CSP AND FSC I CHOOSE ARR FOR SEVERAL REASONS. THE FED STATING IR WILL REMAIN LOW FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS AND THE .20%YIELD WHEN I PURCHASED IT. THE FUNNY THING IS IT KEPT GOING UP AFTER THE LAST X-DIV DAY FOR 2 DAYS. ASSUMING YOU ARE THE EXPERT, COULD YOU OR ANY ONE ELSE OUT THERE PICK THE BEST OF ALL MY MONTHLY PAYING DIV STOCKS AND WHY. RUB UP YOUR CRYSTAL BALLS,, LOL AND SHOOT ME YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS. SINCERLY COACH 'G'

I OWNED AOD FOR OVER A YEAR AND BELIEVED IT WOULD NOT CUT THEIR DIV AGAIN AFTER TALKING TO MANAGEMENT. THEY SAID THAT THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE RAISING ITS DIV THE SECOND 1/2 OF THE YEAR.I DID NOTHING, BUT GOT SHOCKED AFTER THE 54% CUT. I HAD BEEN REINVESTING THE DIV TO GET MORE SHARES, NOW I'M TAKING THE DIV OF .055 TO LIVE ON AND WAIT FOR THE FUTURE FOR THINGS TO GET BETTER.THEN YOU SAID PHK IS IN THE SAME BOAT, SO I LISTENED TO YOU AND SOLD ALL OF MY PHK @ 12.12, THE DAY YOU SAID IT ALSO WOULD BE CUTTING ITS DIV FROM .121875. IT IS STILL GOING UP DAILY,NOW @13.42 AFTER A 2 DAY SHORT PULLBACK.SO, I'M DAMMED IF I DO AND DAMMED IF I DON'T. I NEED MONTHLY INCOME TO SURVIVE AS I'M DISABLED AND MY WIFE LOST HER JOB OVER A YEAR AGO. WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND NOW ?? HOPEFULLY LOOKING. COACH G
