here is another comment to throw into the clusterf**k....Stanford Financial was an American bank....and it's receiver says that it can't determine what Stanford owns....let alone how to value it....
this time its different boys.....the increase in the money supply is/will be a multiple of historical amounts....whereas, good economics calls for an increase by a fraction of historicals amounts.....see the case of the Wiemar Republic for the results of this policy....only this time there is no one to help the bum get out of the gutter and back on his feet.....

great article....you put into words what i "feel" to be the case....another truth is that Ben Benanke can't sell the Federal Reserve holdings at a future date....the amounts are just too big....and probably going to get bigger....he is just nuts....

You Americans should investigate the Goldman Sachs bank holding thing. According to my understanding, it means that they can sell their worthless assets at 100 cents on the dollar to the federal reserve or the treasury (depending on what program it is). That would be called a scam. They are the Masters.
