If they do that. All we need to do. Is to tell any auto company that does business in the US. That if they export any auto parts to Russia. That they will be banned from exporting anything into the US. Vital parts will be produced back into the US that we are short of.

  • BNSF, Canadian Pacific ordered to disclose plans to speed grain shipments [View news story]
The government acts like this is new. They have that problem most years. The railroads at least the BNSF. Allows it track you deteriorate until they have to fix it. For instance road crossings are allowed to deteriorate until it thinks the train might derail. In the past they had enough people to fix the crossing. It has eliminated most of the people from the sections. That could fix it in the past.

  • Why Ford's Equity Is 'Built Ford Tough' [View article]
I first bought Ford at in 2008 at 2.65. Then it went down to 1.75 and bought more. Too bad I did not buy more at that. The most I bought it was at 12.22. So I did pretty good. Bought GM when before it went bankrupt. Of course I am a very small fish in the pond. The sad thing I talked to a millionaire that thought GM never went bankrupt.

  • Ford's Unsettled Union Contract Leaves No Bears Behind On Its Financials [View article]
Remember the purpose of a union is to better the position of the workers. The company is to maximize profit. They will close a factory to save a few dollars per worker a year. Besides the average worker got over 8 thousand dollars a year in profit sharing. They could get less in profit sharing and more in wages. I am a union member and for profit sharing. Of course a company can hide profit.

  • WSJ: Surge in rail shipments of oil is causing delays for other industries [View news story]
If that is true which it is not. It costs more to replace a rail. That they delayed and it derailed on it. I remember when they used the money to buy an oil company. They laid people off to pay for it. The deferred maintenance cost more then if they would of finished planned maintenance. Deferred maintenance cost more to the shareholder. Just look at the derailment in North Dakota. The track used to be a grain route is low maintenance. The grain train derailed the oil train. That is deferred maintenance results

  • WSJ: Surge in rail shipments of oil is causing delays for other industries [View news story]
I am a railroader. The railroads really do not maintain the tracks very well overall. The Chicago to LA makes or made money. I personally worked on that track. One segment of it was and is. Had over 80 personnel working on it. It was not enough even with Mechanization. They reduced the maintence anyway. Just like one of the major routes they ship oil down. Three people to maintain over 100 miles of track.
