  • Ford looks to jumpstart Focus Electric demand [View news story]
If you compare cost. If every one drove a electric car. They would have to impose tax to make up the loss of revenue. Which would be around 50 cents on average or 200 dollars a car. Plus there are thousands of dollars on electric car subsidies. Plus the Administration is driving up the cost of electricity. Mandates for wind and others are driving up the costs. So the costs of electric cars are hidden for the average person.

  • Ford slides as F-150 costs arrive before sales [View news story]
I remember when Ford came out with the new frame for the F150 trucks. Which had higher costs. I was working in KC, Mo and they had a factory rep from the Frame Manufacture at the Ford factory making sure the new frames had no problems. In the end it helped sales

You do not receive any MPG using electric. Electricity gets more expensive every year. Without subsidies electrical cars are way more expensive.

If you look at the sales actually though the years. Mustang out sales the Camaro overall. They had to quit producing the Camaro. So for a few years of out producing does not count

  • U.S. rail chiefs take case on grain delays to regulators [View news story]
I worked for a railroad for over 30 years. They claim they are for competition. Which is a lie. One example is the BN and ATSF before the merger. It was cheaper to ship grain from Salina, Ks to the Gulf of Mexico on the BN. Except the grain elevator was a mile from the BN track on the ATSF track. The transfer fee made it cheaper to ship on the ATSF. The railroads now believe in only having enough track to ship what shipments they think they will need. That is why the now BNSF has a hard time shipping the oil from the Dakota's. Because they only fix or maintain the track they think they will need. No excess trackage at all.

If they do that. All we need to do. Is to tell any auto company that does business in the US. That if they export any auto parts to Russia. That they will be banned from exporting anything into the US. Vital parts will be produced back into the US that we are short of.

  • BNSF, Canadian Pacific ordered to disclose plans to speed grain shipments [View news story]
The government acts like this is new. They have that problem most years. The railroads at least the BNSF. Allows it track you deteriorate until they have to fix it. For instance road crossings are allowed to deteriorate until it thinks the train might derail. In the past they had enough people to fix the crossing. It has eliminated most of the people from the sections. That could fix it in the past.

  • Why Ford's Equity Is 'Built Ford Tough' [View article]
I first bought Ford at in 2008 at 2.65. Then it went down to 1.75 and bought more. Too bad I did not buy more at that. The most I bought it was at 12.22. So I did pretty good. Bought GM when before it went bankrupt. Of course I am a very small fish in the pond. The sad thing I talked to a millionaire that thought GM never went bankrupt.
