  • Are We More Like 1932 - or 1923? [View article]
Save up a year or two of money? Buy physical gold instead of saving USDs.

Do it on an ongoing basis.

A month maybe, 2 years of devaluation, I think not.

Old Wiz: The CNG concept has been around for decades. The rest of the world has voted not to use it.

But lets take it a step further, name some worthwhile investable stocks which that will profit from this?

If you actually think this will prove to be The Solution, I would imagine that you are investing in this Future.

  • Lead Acid Batteries: How Cheap Beat Cool at Google [View article]
I've seen battery Tech ideas come and go. The fact remains, this news came out on April Fool's day, yet almost two weeks later, AXPW's stock price remains unaffected. The Market appears to have ignored the News.

Is Google known for seeking "cheap" solutions?

    Just an opinion(aka paultaut)

  • Coming to America - Mitsubishi's All Electric Car [View article]
    Battery is definitely the bottleneck.

Whisperonthewind's suggestion bears merit. Too bad some inane comment linked it to perpetual motion.

Since when does "perpetual" motion involve a secondary device. Two, that's 2 batteries, per car, one charges as the other runs. Cable switching, Unnecessary, just automate contact switching.

Uniform charging stations or adjustable cables or something else...Solar panels like those proposed by Toyota can also extend Battery life.

$700 Billion in infrastructure spending, Imbed old fashioned Trolly Car tech into the nation's highways. Need a charge, get one on the move.

All sorts of things can be done until someone comes up with a better Battery.

Will anything be done?, highly unlikely. Every state will have its own agenda. So, it will be back in the hands of the Private sector.

The Manhattan Project worked because the Government kept it secret and out of the hands of the Pencil Pushers.

But this Government wants to dismantle those that have the wherewithal to fund multiple research projects. We are screwed.

    Just a personal opinion

  • Why Our Credit Crunch Mirrors the Weimar Hyperinflation from 1919-1923 [View article]
Post world war Germany had unsolvable problems because it did not receive the same Aid that other conflict ravaged countries did.

If the entire world had done exactly the same thing at the same time, how would it have led to Hyperinflation in Germany alone?

The US was on the Gold Standard at the time as were many other Nations, Time stood still for Gold outside of Germany. It went Nowhere. As a matter of Fact, the USD went up just as fast as Gold.

unprovable not unprovalable, Why make the correction? Because you have gone that route before, picking on a misspelling without answering a single question.

As usual the Author mixes a bit of truth with a corresponding opinion and then proceeds to print statements as if they were all Factual.

"SDR Illusions", This is definitely not an Illusion. The Basket which currently exists is comprised of USD 44%, Euro 34%, Yen and Pound 11% each. There is no other definition presently.

What is Illusionary about this announcement?

"Fair-value lying" is a term coined by the author. It is "baseless" because it is the Author's opinion and is not supported by facts.

"Miscreants" I'm quite sure you are familiar with this term as it ties in completely with your usage of "fair-value lying". You Are calling the Governor of the Bank of Canada a Miscreant, is this just your opinion or do you have proof?

"The Treasury is delaying the reporting of the results of the federal report stress tests until Q1 earnings have been reported." This is taken from an unsubstantiated Article, the author of which states so specifically. Your opinion is that this is True, based on what?

You quote Avery Goodman's article as if it were Proof of something or other. Avery makes a lot of suppositions which he acknowledges he can't prove.

    But you can?

All in all, what you have presented are unprovalable allegations as if they were facts. You have cast aspersions on people you haven't met. You claim to know more than the Article writers you quote.

And you have yet to retract a statement made in a previous article which was wrong.

So why don't you tell me how "incorrect" my statements are. Lead me to some repository of Truth that only you can access.

  • The Shape of Recovery: Is It a V? [View article]
While the economy is in sad shape and quite likely to remain so. The Likelyhood of Negative GDP for years on end is totally unreasonable.

The Economy is in an L. The stockmarket could well be in a V. Forced liquidations, not unlike the Program Trading fiasco in 1987, cratered it, not economic News.

The current bounce forsees better Economic news in 2010. Or do all of you believe that $300 Bilion worth of Infrastructure spending will not help the Economy and GDP in the slightest?

Sincere or not, President Obama is just a figurehead.

He says what he is told to say. Every "news" conference now includes a Teleprompter, he reads from it. Specific questions are allowed, specific journalists are allowed to ask those questions.

This is not the man who was elected. IMO

Sixth, Do you actually believe That TBoone was "pitching" CNG solely for the good of the Nation or was he seeking to line his pockets, at the expense of Taxpayers?

The TBoone plan needed and still needs Billions in special connecting power lines from his Wind Farms to the grid. We are going to pay for this.

In the process of acquiring locations, he also acquired the underlying Water Rights. This was well hidden.

Seventh, in its mad rush to build cities, China did what No other nation on Earth has done. They built using different Fuels. A City may utilize Hydrogen cars, another CNG, another biodiesel, etc.

There is a big push toward the EV side. TBoone pushes CNG, Warren Buffett buys stakes in Electric Battery makers.
