Job Losses Signaling Recession Isn't Over [View article]
"Job Creation" is part of the bigger problem. There must be a real market need for employment of any kind. We can't afford to busy the minds and bodies of millions in useless endeavors. To the unemployed, make your own way. Create your own market and worth. America will not save us now. We have hit our peak.
They are the king of Ad program rip offs. Anyone who makes money off the AdSense program will find their account deleted and funds witheld...and with no recourse. They are jamming us on both ends, the merchant and the media provider.I hope they fall behind better technology and better marketing of a better engine.

At least three business days for the settlement of ownership BEFORE the ex-date. I got boned on this earlier, felt quite stupid, so make sure to get it in.

Should Google Be Paying a Dividend? [View article]
At 300 a share, they oughtta pay something. Anything. From their perspective, they are sitting in tall cotton and are having no trouble selling the shares at that level so, why bother. The way they are sitting in cash and ripping of the AdSense people, they should show some good will to the investors.
*I do not own 1 single share of those dogs, by the way. And never will. There are way better ad programs coming out right now, I hope Google gets crushed. Their search engine sucks anyway.
There is absolutely no chance that the average grower will submit to taxation. The cannabis clubs will quickly go out of business and it will be totally black market again. Pot is a cash business, grows freely. Wild and Free, like we outta be!
California is hurting for certain. The tax measures failed and will go to general election. We will say hell no to another 12 cents per gallon of fuel, a one percent increase in general sales tax and an open threat to our sacred Prop 13 tax shelter.
I saw good pictures of assemblymen sleeping in the chambers last night! A far cry from visiting the galleries in 2002, when not a one could be found. Good! Let them do some real work, sweat it out, like the rest of us!

Clear out the standing inventory!
Most of us here in California have watched our values drop so low....My home has lost better than fifty percent, and no it isn't one of those 3500 square foot spec houses in some damned subdivision neither. It is a nice two story mountain house on 2 acres. At the height of the market, it was valued at 450K, now 220K which is exactly what I paid for it in 2004.
Thank God I didn't ride the equity too much, but it still hurts and is very limiting. I think it will get worse before it gets better, AIA is dead and so are the Builder's Exchanges (I am a contractor) and that is actually a good thing right now. Laffer was wrong, supply side never works in perpetuity.

The markets will correct to remove those who could afford their debts in the first place. It hurts, but is for the greater good.

If you have a job, LOVE IT! It doesn't matter if you are shoveling turds, there are millions who would trade with you. Speaking of trading, live absolutely as cheap as you can and put every red cent into this bear den of a market...never sit in the bar, telling others how you missed the boat, rather tell them how you scraped together just fifty bucks a week in the most uncertain of times, lean back and show them the shirt you are wearing that says "I am retired, don't ask me to do a DAMN thing!"

Beautifully written.
Mr. Buffet's timeless strategy of "buying a stock like you would a private enterprise," will make better investors of us all. The goal should not only be the return of money on your venture, but to live in a world where the companies that you have chosen succeed and serve the greater good. We, as small investors, have a very rare and unique opportunity to purchase large positions and parley them up through this period of sideways trading. Prospective, expected target return and values mean nothing right now, invest in what you believe in and nothing more. The world will be a better place.
Good luck and as always, "May your Dow never Jones."
