I am a daily activist in the market. I hold a few great stocks for a long time and trade non great stocks daily. I believe one should only act in the market on information that they Know. Not what one Hopes will happen or what they Think will happen. This simple philosophy has saved me from many losing propositions.

I am an independent contractor in instructional design & development, organizational performance improvement. Presently a doctoral candidate in instructional systems, investigating performance support systems and mobile learning applications. I'm particularly interested in energy issues: efficiency, storage, security, sustainability, etcetera. In 2009 I completed construction of a LEED-certified residence incorporating SIPS envelope, geothermal HVAC, photovoltaic array, battery bank for backup power. I tend to be an early adopter but try not to be on the bleeding edge of innovation--I've found that being too early to the party can be as painful as being too late.
