I would add that, in addition to the factors here, the economy is fundamentally uncompetitive due to the burdens is places on business. If this is not fixed the unemployment level will skyrocket. Employment contracts are a travesty and either offer over-protection or none at all (mostly for the younger, well-educated).

Perverse incentives will keep the economy down until new policies and direction can be effected. Unlikely with either party as they seem blissfully unaware of the true nature of the problems.

I would appreciate another article touching on this and how the justice system fails both business and consumer and is another huge problem.
