  • Japanese Small Caps: Too Cheap to Ignore [View article]
Japanese economy is on way down in long term

Japan has debt that is equal to 200% of its GDP

70% is owned by Japanese individual

Uptil now this has helped in keeping yields on lower side

As there is lot of demand from within the country so

But now its spelling trouble as average age in Japan is 44

in 25 Yrs time it will be at least 60

the persons who have long been investing in JGB will be selling to finance their retirement

No official estimate but at least 50B will be offloaded by these people in market before 2016

that will spike yields to around 2-3% range

    High for Japan

Further they will also be selling equities, therefore bearish trend there as well

  • Is the Euro Crisis Systemic? [View article]
there is no connection between extent of losses with GDP, the asian socities are fairly less leveraged compared to EU

Further what do you say of spain's housing and mortgage market

its falling and can bring down the spanish banks

Further spanish banks exposure to bad debts is far more severe than ireland

EPS DROPS, DIVIDEND CANT BE PAID UNTIL YOU HAVE ACHIVED THE BUFFER BARRIER

i AM GOING SHORT IXG AND LONG EMFN

AS EMERGING MARKET FINANCIALS ARE ALREADY STRONG AND LIKELY GAINING GROUND IN TROUBLING ENVIORMENT FOR THEM

  • 10 by 10: A New Way to Look at Dividend Yield and Growth [View article]
    Great article

But companies with high growth will most likely increase dividend at thar rate

a 15% increase will continue for a 7-10 Yr or so period , then it will convert to growth of 5-6%

Companies that grow at rate 15-20% need cash either the will revert to low growth status or they will stop increasing dividend

  • U.S. Dollar Can and Will Drop [View article]
Chaina and export driven economies have no choice but keep buying dollars

if dollar weakens the american goods become competitive, comodities go up and trade balance widens

only those countries have a choice whose exports are elastic like oil
