I am looking at a nice, safe dividend stock preferably not at 52 week highs. I was thinking BP or MRO might be worth a look. Any suggestions

    • HackFab: Depends on what your definition of 'safe' means. If you can stomach the price flucs: NUE at this level is yielding +4%

    • DividendCatcher: Thank you all for your help. Hack, something more along the lines of no dividend cut/looming bankruptcy overhanging the company.

    • HackFab: NUE is a dividend Champion. Although the last increase was small, it was an increase.

    • HackFab: BP is at a decent price here (I own it), they will gradually increase the dividend back to pre-spill levels. BP isn't going bankrupt.

    • DividendCatcher: I have thought highly of BP. I am thinking that might be my next one. Oil will eventually go back up and BP will probably be a nice play.
