  • BlackBerry 10's Apps Aren't A Problem [View article]
Don't rely on garbage BS posts from known shorter above. BB10 has all the high end more complex apps made. What is not there is the smaller local, small niche products/services apps. These are much easier to port over but do need to be done by the owner/developer. These will come along as Z10 owners make requests to their favorite website app owner. I currently have a Z10 and it is hands down the smoothest and fastest phone available, never mind the ability to use Adobe PDF, MS office, HDMI, USB(can the others do that). Much more superior than the competition. Windows 8 phones had 5000 apps at launch in September and BB10 has has 70,000 at launch. Just use your head basher.

  • It's Time To Bet On BlackBerry [View article]
Blackberry has been around for some time now with a good solid customer base and world wide accepted name branding. Add this to the fact that the new OS and phone is second to none makes for a winning combination to invest in. The stock price is so volatile because money managers know it's going to go up each time they dump. If the stock price was flat lined then I would be worried. The buy key has fingers hovering just about it based on news......first in makes the most.

  • More on BlackBerry (BBRY -6.8%): Deutsche's Brian Modoff is questioning early reports (from Thorsten Heins and others) of strong Z10 demand in the U.K. and Canada. Deutsche's survey of 60 stores in the countries found no sellouts in the U.K., and that those in Canada were attributed by reps to limited supplies. Meanwhile, Detwiler Fenton notes in its report Samsung "has been poaching key engineers and managers" from BlackBerry as it ramps its enterprise efforts. (earlier[View news story]
More BS. Heins has already stated, "he has the numbers to prove it"....PERIOD. Now we have 100 more carriers to go. Can't stop the train.

  • BlackBerry Success: More Than Meets The Eye [View article]
Excellent article except your description of apps being garbage. They have all the top line apps available which will cover 90% of the needs. People will harp because they may not have the exact smaller "local" one that you got use to from your old system. That is what you focused on, that one niche app you thought was handy. Once the chicken/egg scenario gets ironed out, apple better watch out because this phone is far superior.

  • BlackBerry (BBRY +3.3%) roundup: 1) The Nikkei reports BlackBerry will stop selling phones in Japan due to poor sales. 2) Indonesians are excited about BB10, at least if Twitter is any guide. A review of 900K BB10-related tweets from Jan. 29-Feb. 2 found Indonesians were responsible for 15% of them, the most of any country. 3) The WSJ observes BlackBerry's Indian developer base has grown significantly thanks to outreach efforts. India was only the 18th-largest BlackBerry market in Q3, per Canalys. (earlier[View news story]
Must be a distributer problem...another one will take it on. You don't know the reason, maybe they did not want to sign up for enough initial stock requirements with the Z10.

  • Here Is How BlackBerry Can Dominate The Smartphone And Tablet Markets [View article]
Great article. I've read before we were on the right track investing with the QNX OS and this is just another reinforcement of that fact. Also, just a little I would like to share. While at a ritzy Christmas party this winter the subject of investing came up. I stated I was long RIM and the guy next to me listened wide eyed but very silent. After a while he finally said I wish I had the nerve to invest because QNX could dominate the phone market if programmed right. I was shocked, he never said a word all night...then he tells me he's an electronics engineer and has worked in waterloo but not at RIM. He said they ran QNX in there testing equipment that tested computers and electronic components and a bunch of other words I did not understand. In one test they ran Microsoft Windows on QNX to see how far they could push it. He said they kept ramming it with info to try and get it to crash. Not sure if they ever made it fail but it sure was his favorite electronic OS out there. I think it was the only thing he said all night.

  • RIM Uses Lenovo Hype To Prevent Rollover [View article]
Question, has the author ever been outside his own boarders, sure doesn't sound it. Talk about an apple fanboy trying, ever so desperately trying to save his non-innovative stock price. This is what they call anti-hype brought to you by shorters. They try to twist or stretch an original story then scream the earth is falling in when the story does not come true. Lenovo never said they were buying RIM. We never asked or wanted this. A strategic partner in one area, maybe, pay RIM to use the best OS to ever hit the market, maybe. But one thing is for sure BB10 will bring the antiquated iOS to it's knees. I guess all you have to do is look at the stock sentiment over the last four mouths....it really tells the tail.

  • With its U.S. smartphone share having fallen to miniscule levels, RIM (RIMM -1.1%) is counting on a Super Bowl ad to create some buzz in the country ahead of its first BB10 hardware launches (likely the Z10 and X10). In a PR discussing the ad, RIM suggests new BB10 tablets will eventually arrive to go with smartphones. The average price for a 30-second Super Bowl ad this year is reportedly $3.8M. [View news story]
I think they should bring out a touch screen netbook with a real key board and full PC capabilities. Tablets are uncomfortable to hold and apps are near useless to get anything done but play. And the crazy thing is they now come with an optional keyboard...have we gone full circle. RIM make this communicate with our BB10 phone and we will have a winner. Innovate beyond apple's current team which I think you can now.
