Investment greenhorn. Easily influenced, conviction building WIP. Have lost tiny bits of money in wagering on charts - not very impressed there! Like to fashion myself as a value investor. Have developed a liking for technology, banking, insurance, energy and resources sectors.
"I never attempt to make money on the stock market. I buy on the assumption that they could close the market the next day and not reopen it for five years" - Warren Buffett.
My investing principles are strongly aligned to long term value investing. I follow the articles on SA that involve strategies for identifying and analysing companies that are presently undervalued by the market. I am not a frequent trader and I believe that if I'm trading more than once a month I'm trading too much.
By investing a set amount each month I am patiently building a retirement portfolio, through careful, conscientious research. My time line is 23 years, or into 2036. Key areas of interest include gas & utilities, commodities and stable consumer goods companies.
