  • Why Rare Earth Prices Are Poised To Rebound And Who Stands To Benefit [View article]
I have the idea that Mr. Lifton by himself alone was the one that initiated the REE madness in 2010, when he analyzed the potential danger of the previous mine....and some smart bankers got everything together for MCP IPO ( actually the only ones that got some profit of REE´s)

Since then a full stream of new producers are arising in many countries even when prices are not as good as it should, that means in my opinion that many lower cost producers will erode MCP possibilities as it was in the previous cycle.

So I don´t see a good reason other that "strategic supply in U.S" for them, that is not the case and uncle Sam is not afraid of REE shortage with the massive stocks of all the RE that U.S gov. has

  • 3 Reasons Why Apple Is Heading Lower [View article]
I think the author fails in analyzing if the reduction is short or long term, in technical grounds a lower level is something logical for a few days or weeks but the long term base of the stock is bullish, but agree with him in a short term base.

  • Cummins' New 12-Liter Natural Gas Engine Is A Game Changer For Clean Energy [View article]
Could you elaborate this a little bit more, a whole national energy strategy is elaborated on certain premises ( like to say that US has 100 years supply etc), what is wrong on it?

  • Is NQ Mobile Incredibly Crowded? [View article]
    Hi Paolo,
You must be aware of the extraordinary influence that this kind of articles has in Chinese companies I personally experienced this in SA when 2 articles attacked a chinese company ...because fraudulent "audited" statements.

I received at least 100 "Ni Hao comments" defending the company all of them just registered in SA to write 1 comment and never again you read something else of them....all were employees of the EV battery company.

So, if you write something sensible about a Chinese company be prepared to receive a lot of fake comments, that is another signal that you played bingo! when touched them.

Since then I NEVER TOUCH (INVEST) IN A CHINESE COMPANY if any is only through American one as Yahoo with Alibaba.

  • J.C. Penney: Not The Beginning Or The End But The Beginning Of The End (For The Shorts) [View article]
In the frantic environment this stocks moves ,internal because problems are not behind yet, external because competition in this sector is quite complicated, and Wall St. hysteric mode.

Many things around against, as a matter of fact this 9.40 closing today will move shorters into, because now is an attractive moment for that.

I hope JCP could get a level that really scare shorts but is not today.

  • Dissecting Tesla's ZEV Mythology [View article]
I have to tell that my first comment in SA was an article of you more than 5 years ago, as a regular reader of your articles saw your evolution from a EV believer into a EV non believer...and always with arguments, facts and numbers.

So after that just say that your analysis of Tesla and BEV is fully justified, Americans usually need (and media helps) an American individual that by himself creates an Empire based in creativity, "garage work" etc.

Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, Bill gates, Craig Venter etc.....Mr. Musk is the last one of the saga ( when 30% of American workers earn less than $20 per hour) , I think many of the justifications and attacks are of believers that want to keep the hero alive.

  • Increasing Uncertainty Means It's Time To Sell 3D Systems [View article]
As many others stocks, right now are not supported by the fundamentals , any analysis suggest to sell AMZN, PCLN, DDD, NFLX etc. however they keep up, so question for me is ....." the extraordinary situation created by massive QE money supply is altering the way stocks behave now?" If so the "logic" P/Es, and other metrics can still be use?.

The massive printing money of the world currency (dollar) is creating a situation that surely will alter the way investments are rated, a P/E of 120 and up is quite common now but the difference is that the stocks stays there!.

So, "logic" says DDD is what.

It´s not a matter of "like" ...It will be broken!!! it´s just selling pot dreams, there is not financial base for the project, only the "strategic" approach.

And yes, the stock is my favorite for day-trading, a lot of new innocents fall into the stock and that´s beautiful for scalping!.

  • Molycorp: Misconceptions And Reflexivity Present Opportunity [View article]
Good to find you again Jack, actually I believe that Molycorp project born when a group of bankers detected the strategic situation around the rare metals that YOU mentioned some years ago, explaining the strategic failure for military and industry in U.S.

I remember a lot of information and comments in your articles and JP (now back in the U.S.) then when nobody (including me) knew anything about rare earths.

And you are right, the only winners in this dream of the rare metals were the ones that bought the mines and equipment in cents and sold it in $100´s in the IPO of MCP.

This is a nonviable dream project good for fat bankers, that´s all.

  • Molycorp: Losses Continue To Mount [View article]
This stock should be included in the infamous list of IPO´s in Ponzi schemes and build only in news comments, it never had viability since day 1.

The original assets in which MCP was build were a asset liquidation of a previous broke company in the rare earths, the "promoters" bought in cents and sold in dollars, actually are the only ones who profited of this misery.
