My background is engineering and business management. I had my own company associated with the personal computer business for thirteen years. At the peak had over a hundred employees, Bought another company and spun of a new one with 5 patents on a new design for flexible disk drives. I worked for IBM, Memorex, Xerox and a couple of start ups in this business area of magnetic recording.
I am now, retired, of course and have a home in Oregon and Panama and married with three children on my side and 2 with my current wife.
For some odd reason I became interested in economics and history. Also known as the follies of man and am convinced we are on the threshold of major changes in this world. I like James Howard Kunstlers ideas on where we are headed; his book The Long Emergency is a heads up. I do not agree with every thing about which he writes, but for a general trend for the future his book is a worthwhile read.
