They feed the class warfare that is going to continue to escalate for years to come.

Santelli rant on $75billion homeowner bailout saying traders in CBOT is America? Is that a joke? How much is the govt on the hook for now with AIG and Bear guarantees, and TARP?

Who's the worst?.......Cabrera is my vote...

  • How Much Will Blockbuster End Up Paying for Hiring Help?  [View article]
Thank you Seth. I love Metue and with the hit or miss articles you get here on SeekingAlpha, its refreshing to see an informative analysis of what is really going on with Blockbuster. It was a good balance of showing the risk but also questioning the legitimacy of the latest BK report.

Pandora, good to see you keepin' up the fight.....tough couple days there wasn't it?

  • Will Blockbuster's Game Rental Plan Help Grab Market Share? [View article]
You look at downward trends for 12 months in seasonal business? How bout comparing Sept. 2007 to Sept. 2008....within $2million of one another, and September 2008 quarter had Olympics, election, and economic collapse.

Not to mention any trend in declining revenue could have been the divestiture of hundreds of stores and/or those they've been closing.

  • 15 Companies That Might Not Survive 2009 [View article]
I love to see these perceptions of dead companies and the masses agreeing or saying....."why not list 50"..."should have written in 2005"..."why not include"...

Knowledgeable investors will find fantastic opportunities of stocks that are oversold AND thrive in recession markets.
    seekingalpha.com/artic...

Even in this article you get evidence....."One possible outcome, according to Valueline, is that investors take the company private and then go public again when market conditions are better."

    Can you say PREMIUM anyone???

Blockbuster has been left for dead since the end of 2004 after the late fee fiasco. Sales have not declined more than 5% after closing hundreds of stores across the world. Activist Carl Icahn largest shareholder, placed retail veteran Jim Keyes into lead a turnaround. Its a month away from announcing 2008 profitability. Gaming and the recession will further help their efforts.

Its trading less than their EBITDA.

Don't like that one? Find another.....there are awesome value investment deals based on layman perceptions like this article.

  • Netflix's Broadband Shift Ripens Worry for Cable [View article]
I am amazed so many people are jockin' Netflix. Not even getting into their niche business, who pays 20 times FORWARD earnings for ANYTHING in this market?

Hulu is quietly offering much more than NFLX's 10,000 OLD movies-only menu in their streaming. Hulu is a perfect example of how easily anyone can set up a BETTER streaming platform.

Under 2million use their streaming? Are you kidding they're a threat? NFLX makes no money off streaming, and has no ad support to bring in revenue from it. Hulu has over 200million video streams A MONTH.

Think about this.....NFLX, great niche.....renting DVD's by mail....yes...DVD...TH... THE MAIL. And people want to bet 20 times forward earnings they can successfully take on the Studio's, cable companies, and telco's? While beating Amazon, Blockbuster(relationsh... and Apple?

I might just short the damn thing.....

  • Five Industries That Can Thrive in a Recession [View article]
Aren't we seeking alpha? Blockbuster has market share in two of those mentioned.....obviousl... movies, and gaming. NFLX has a great niche with 1/4 the sales of Blockbuster. Turnaround to profitability will be announced in March for full year profitability 2008.

It is amazing to see everyone on NFLX trading at a forward 20 P/E and a market cap of 2Billion while......

    BBI trades at a 4 P/E and has a $250Million market cap.

If you seek alpha, seek unlocked value that does well in this environment.....seek BBI.

  • Is Netflix the Next Apple? [View article]
A recurring revenue stream from a good business model is NFLX. The threats are overwhelming for NFLX, not to mention over 90% of revenue comes from one source.

Its shocking Seeking Alpha didn't know how to spell Blu-Ray, but whats even more disturbing is that they allowed this article. There wasn't one relevant comparison for NFLX to "Being the Next Apple".....
