  • iTunes TV Subscriptions: Could it Happen? [View article]
Here's basically what's going to happen. The networks are going to refuse. Apple will become a studio and the same networks that refused to join previously are going to complain that Apple is a "monopoly" that "treats them unfairly".... Waaaaaah!

  • What Good Will the iPhone App Do for Sirius XM?  [View article]
As far as the iPhone app goes, Sirius already bungled it by shutting down StarPlayr and replacing it with nothing instead of just acquiring the damn thing and letting the users continue to go. I have no faith in
Sirius' future as long as the current management is in place. Too many boneheaded decisions on their end.

  • What Good Will the iPhone App Do for Sirius XM?  [View article]
I guess "Howie math" lead to the 0.0s that got O&A kicked off of every terrestrial station in the country. Sirius went from 600,000 subscribers and significantly behind XM before he signed to reaching parity at 3 million within a year after he signed. To say there was no "Howard effect" is ridiculous and ignornant.

  • iPhone Apps' Launch of Siri XM: A Powerful Combination [View article]
I'm sorry, I've lost complete faith in Sirius' ability to do anything right. First off, they killed off a WORKING Sirius player in StarPlayr and replaced it with NOTHING instead of just acquiring the assets from NiceMac. That's just the beginning of their boneheaded blunders as of yet. Let's not forget killing live Bubba and destroying all the good channels that XM had, and then jacking up prices on top of all that. I used to be a believer in Mel but now I just want him to get his @$$ fired!

  • Microsoft May Be Able to Halt Apple's Music Monopoly [View article]
The iPod/iTunes was released in 2001. Since then Microsoft has gone through no less than 7 iterations of it's strategy to kill the iPod and all of them failed. But somehow I'm supposed to believe this time it's for real? Come on!

  • Linux Creator Torvalds Calls Apple's OS X File System 'Complete and Utter Crap' [View article]
What's ironic about his statement is that under Linux, the operating system is all too visible with it's lack of hardware support and having to hand configure every nook and cranny of the environment. Geeks can't fathom why people don't want to do all of this just to have a useful desktop.

I was just telling my friends how much I love my Klausner cell phone....

Oh wait! They don't even make products! They don't even have a website!!!

What are they suing for and why did it take them until after the iPhone came out to realize they had something special???

  • 10 Reasons Why Apple Should Acquire AMD [View article]
Good idea on paper but the reality is that Apple will not chance ruining their relationship with Intel. Plus the Intel brand makes the average consumer feel more comfortable about buying a PC. Plus AMD traditionally has horrible yields which is why they left IBM in the first place.

  • iPhone Watch: Sales May Be Slowing, Software Upgrade Rumors Abound  [View article]
It's such a big joke to hear complaints about the EGDE network when most interfaces on cell phones are absolutely atrocious! What good is the high speed network when the interface is unusable??? It's effectively just like being on a slow network!

And also I love the non-existent iPhone killers. How come they never came into existence BEFORE the iPhone was released??? You mean it really took Apple to come up with the idea of random access to voice mail??? Something that has been technically available for years but manufacturers for some reason would not provide?!?! Just as with the iPod and mp3 players, cell phone manufacturers will miss this up and continue to play catch up while real innovation will come from Apple.
