Movie theater stocks have fallen since last week's deadly shooting: Cinemark (CNK), owner of the theater where the shooting took place, has slid 6.2% since Friday, and RGC, CKEC and IMAX also have drifted lower. Investors fear the tragedy will lead to higher security costs at theaters, even metal detectors, or worse... movie goers could simply stay home. [View news story]
Or take guns away? A much simpler solution. Just look at statistics for gun crime in the UK.
Apple (AAPL) is reportedly planning to roll out a smaller, cheaper iPad by the end of the year, with a screen that's 7-8 inches diagonally vs. the current 9.7 inch version. Apparently Apple's at least a little bit worried about the Nexus 7 (GOOG) and Surface (MSFT). [View news story]

Valid point. Then again, a great proportion (> 99.5%!) of those apps are junk. Funny to see Apple, and Apple fanboys, shifting to arguments of quantity over quality.
Don't get me wrong, I love my iPad, but I wouldn't compare a Touch to the Nexus.

You're vastly underestimating Google's potential. At least a 5-setter with some tie-breaks that anyone can win.

For $199, yes you can beat it. It's called the Nexus 7.
"One of my favorite generational shorts is Apple (AAPL)," said bond guru Jeff Gundlach last night at a CFA dinner, as reported by CNBC's Jane Wells. "The rainmaker is gone, and I don't see people lining up all night for iPad 482." [View news story]
After witnessing Apple's (AAPL) iPad event, Jolie O'Dell thinks the company may be losing some of its marketing polish in the post-Steve Jobs era. O'Dell cites Tim Cook's presentation, the new iPad's ambiguous naming, and Apple's use of the word "resolutionary" on its iPad page as evidence a company known for its attention to appearance and detail fell short of its usual standards. Apple always had its critics, even during the Stevie era. Pointless commentary from a nobody.
"We have something you really have to see. And touch." So goes the invite from Apple (AAPL) for a March 7 event in San Francisco where it looks like the iPad 3 will be unveiled. [View news story]
Where do you think the "device" you're making your comment with originated from? A little less hypocrisy please. I'm sure you're inadvertently connected to more sources of immorality than you can possibly imagine.
Why I Added to My Activision Position [View article]
Your comments earlier were actually based on a single game (and still are). ERTS has dropped 12.5% since your posted reply. The health of the video game industry remains in question (www.marketwatch.com/st...). Discretionary spending is highly conservative...only select titles are experiencing strong sales. Increases in private second-hand gaming sales are also having an effect. ATVI is still the best position to hold, but it will linger at no higher than $13.50 for a LONG time (I agree with your original position in your first comment, not sure what changed over a week's time, :P).

Spending for FIFA'11 is more of an anomaly as the result of the World Cup and nothing more. As for those buying ERTS, good luck! MoH is overhyped and will tank huge.
