    With respect I don't think so! Was it Barclays -- can't recall -- just did an extensive report and Reiterated a $94.00 target. Stock keeps working higher here. $90 target from me. Long HLF

    BTW I make my own decisions as well.

    Another strong day for Energy, and another - 2% for (ESV), (RIG) very weak too. Think I'll stick with (PDS) When you see a sector like energy thats absolutely on fire -- and your stock is tanking; thats not a good thing.

    D;

    All businesses are regulated. We do not live in a nanny state where success in any enterprise is to be guaranteed by a gov't agency. That's why this investigation is very likely a noise event. To compare signing up as a distributor for $79 or whatever it is, with a company with an explicit money back guarantee, to Bernie Madoff, and (to short) on that belief --- seems unwise.

    Clearly product is consumed and revenues generated from said product. I'm not going to debate who consumes the product and whatever.

    Yes the company will be fined; both because spotlight is now on the FTC and they would look like absolute fools if they didn't, and also because some HLF distributors have likely made dumb promises.

    However; if you shut down every business that exaggerated claims, America would shut down tomorrow. That's why, we have regulators, who I expect will tell them to refrain from unrealistic claims. I am long because far worse than a fine or reporting is priced into the stock, and have no issue with it. Good luck.

    No-one here critiquing is claiming to be short the stock. Why not if its a Madoff scam?

    I measure the rationale of the bears, and find it wanting . The most likely scenario, is a 1-5 million dollar fine, enhanced supervision -- both maintain the FTC"s credibility -- and the stock flies, likely immediately to 80-90.

    If anyone is short this stock on the belief HLF is comparable to Madoff, my long position looks that much better.

    you are commenting often how much flack and abuse you are taking for your short thesis and many articles. Is there not allowed one article taking the other side without you attacking it? You have made your case. Allow others to make theirs without interference, in respect.

    Great Article; except it would not take a year to hit $80.00 in the event of a benign FTC conclusion. It will happen instantly, either by an overnight announcement or a stop trading halt.

    Barclays cuts targets for offshore drillers, sees potential 40% downside

    Offshore drillers Atwood Oceanics (ATW +0.5%), Diamond Offshore (DO +2.4%), Rowan (RDC +0.9%), Ensco (ESV +0.8%) and Transocean (RIG +1.5%) are higher today even as Barclays cuts its price targets on the stocks.
    The firm thinks near-term risk is skewed to the downside following a series of negative fleet status reports from the offshore drillers recently and concern for dayrate pressure in most offshore markets; if conditions deteriorate further, the firm would expect underlying asset values to decline further (NAVs declined 16%-plus following the financial crisis and 8% after Macondo), suggesting potential 40% downside before ultimate NAV support takes hold

    (RIG) and (ESV) slammed again today, on a strong day in energy.
