  • Sometimes Stocks Do Crash [View article]
Played that game back in 08/09 when things were going crazy. Several busted trades, buying on big down spikes then out minutes later on the rebound.

  • UVXY Inflows Reveal A Strange Paradox That Could Be Preventing A Market Correction [View article]

  • AIG's Blackmail Note [View article]
Wow! It sounds like AIG is the keeper of all the antimatter and without them, total annihilation. First, make sure we don’t leave any astronauts stranded in orbit then, pull the plug for a quick reset and see what happens. I’m pretty sure the earth will continue to rotate, the sun will continue to rise and man’s instinct for survival, cooperation and problem solving will carry the day…or, we will have a mass extinction event leading to the emergence of the next level of intelligent life. Either way, this kind of insanity will be purged from the human race.

  • Securities Transaction Tax Would Punish the Wrong People [View article]
I am a high frequency trader trading a modest account. Unless I am missing something, based on my trading volume, this would have amounted to a 25% tax on the value of my account last year, dwarfing the amount I paid in commissions and platform/exchange fees. I had a pretty good year but not that good. If this goes through, there will be no need for lots of trading; one long term short position ought to work out just fine.

  • Distressing Details of the UltraShorts [View article]
