  • One World, One Currency? [View article]
Anybody who will take an honest look at the budget of the US will realize that we are being intentionally driven into the ditch. A clear majority of our leaders believe that the UN is the future.

They are forcing a train wreck upon us that is so catastrophic that only a "global" response can rescue us.

  • Forecasting Copper, Gold and Oil: Interview with Brian Tang [View article]
I suspect that Chinese accumulation of copper has more to do with portfolio diversification than current demand for the metal.

  • Did the ECB Save COMEX from Gold Default? [View article]
There will not be any serious investigation in the near future. Who do you think put the politicians in power in the first place?

The inevitable investigation will only come after the house of cards collapses. Then we will see "outrage" from the political class. Probably show trials and public executions.

Kind of like Russia about 100 years ago.

    The dollar:

    The most virtouos whore.
The chemo patient with the most hair.
The leper with the most fingers.
The smartest kid on the short bus.
The most honorable lawyer in the room.
The doctor with the smallest ego.
The homocidal maniac least likely to give in to his impulses.

  • Gold's New Monetary Role? [View article]
It seems to me that whether or not we evolve to a different world reserve currency than the dollar, the Chinese are intent on accumulating a LOT of gold over the next several years.

    Hillsfar,

Can you show me where in the constitution there is any mention of separation of church and state?

I know it says the government cannot tell us what religion we should be. But that's about it.

    To Luis da Silva,

Speaking on behalf of white people with blue eyes, are you sure that you are ready for an airing out of the differences between races?

Should we start with patents by race or just go straight to IQ scores?

  • Gold Economics Questionable; Facts Forecast Lower Prices  [View article]
    Vox,

I've held gold for 15 years. It's the foundation of my insurance policy against stupid governance. I trade in and out short term as well. Right now I like silver, platinum and palladium better.

I'm just saying that if someone is starting to save for chaotic times, buy gold. Once you have a comfortable position, buy some silver, platinum and palladium. Steady accumulation is the key. Only buy when prices are down. If you can buy more in the $800 range, do it. I'm not buying gold here, but I am buying palladium and silver.

  • Southern Copper Corp: An Interesting Way to Play the Commodity Rebound [View article]
I suspect that many of those that voted thumbs down are unaware that the leader of North Korea is called "Dear Leader" by his starving people. They probably thought that I was taking a swipe at Obama.

Seems to me, paper gold would trade down sharply and physical gold would go up sharply. Watch the spreads on 1 ounce coins.
