Fixing the Economy by Breaking It Yet Again [View article]
Up to this point, the posters here have been brilliant, perceptive, clear thinking, and CORRECT. It is truely a breath of fresh air to read words that people--not sheeple--are capable of when they look at the big picture!
Thank you all. And thanks to Tim for broaching this topic with us.
Silver 'Misbehaves' in Recent Rally: Time to Buy [View article]
Very nice piece on silver Jeff. Thanks. Oh, if that 200 tonnes of gold was paid with silver...undoubtedly it was with silver CERTIFICATES, because what I have been told is that the DOLLARS are flying out of India, China, etc. because the devaluation is costing them BIG TIME!
As to buying silver, you are 100% correct, as I have encouraging posters for many months to buy PHYSICAL silver. Paper silver is fine--IF YOU TRUST YOUR GOVERNMENT--there, that ends that conversation, and debate on what our poster, Bernard, inquired about.
Yes, Bernard, you have choices, but PHYSICAL is the way to go. The reasons are obvious. You have it in hand, you know its real, and you can dispose of it at a moments notice (at a coin dealer, a mint, Ebay, etc.
How much is enough? You can NEVER have enough silver. I have two safes full and I am buying more every chance I can.
kohalakid.....re: your "GLD is audited". I have one question: Did YOU WITNESS this audit? If not, please shut up, there are some of us out here that want more than a piece of paper (its worth kinda what gold and silver ETFs are worth) to show there is PHYSICAL gold and silver backing the paper being stuffed in unsuspecting sheeple pockets.
Roubini: Commodities Due for a Correction [View article]
Indeed, Roubini may be in a little over his head regarding the "inner workings" of precious metals. I don' t know, but PMs are a different animal and the vast majority of the "Roubini types" just don't have a good grasp for them. Its a difficult arena without specializing. So, I will just continue to buy PHYSICAL gold and silver...that is until my barber, the cab driver, the cashier at the grocery store, etc are all talking about how they are buying PMs. Then, its time I'll be selling.
You said a mouthful, most of which has merit, but you didn't give us readers a solution to this problem you state. So I will take the opportunity: Buy PHYSICAL gold and silver! There, now your comment is complete. Your welcome!
Gold Price Spike: Don't Call It a Bubble [View article]
James, could you please address the silver market? I believe much of what you wrote in your superb article here on gold is absolutely relevant to silver.
I for one am loading up on silver...the PHYSICAL kind, of course!
All this back and forth among the posters, some knowledgable, I might add, is making me dizzy. I'm just going out and buying MORE PHYSICAL SILVER! Good day!
Paul Tudor Jones: Gold's Undervalued and Bonds Are a Curve Flattener Play [View article]
...and where, oh where is SILVER in all this? I know, this article was on gold, but not even a single reference to the greatest prospective investment of this century? Gold may go to "whatever four-digit" number you wish to insert....but, my friends, silver will be going to a THREE-digit number that will be sheer delight for those of us that have a "ton" of it (PHYSICAL, only, thank you very much)!
Why a Gold Bug Isn't Buying Gold Now [View article]
Thank you for the sensible article. The first two posters really were on target.
The housing CRASH that is about to occur in 2010 along with the steaming full throttle spending of the Obama administration is going to fuel even higher prices for the PMs. No doubt, the USD will start to perk up, but the oil sham (dont forget oil, right?) will stabilize any anticipated downturn in PMs. IMHO silver is where to be NOW. Its volatile, yes, but the return on investment will be staggering given its relationship to gold.
Chinese Citizens Significantly Increasing Gold and Silver Ownership [View article]
The reality of this (particularly pertaining to silver) is that the Chinese BY THEMSELVES can routinely consume a given YEAR's worth of silver production in savings by their "middle class". Don't forget, there are a BILLION Chinese, and a significant number of them are considered middle class.
Start buying those silver bars, rounds and anything with .999 silver. Its gonna be a wild ride VERY SOON. You don't want to be standing there without a ticket to ride, do you?
Sorgmot: You say "political parties have NO motivation to change". Are you SERIOUS? What planet are you residing on? What do you call what has happend to this country (USA) the past TEN MONTHS? If that isn't "CHANGE", what the hell do you call it?
