The problem w Street research, w regards to AAPL, is it's all relative...IE Gene Herman Munster predicitng 5mn units re I Phone 5 in the ist week; then taking his PT down $100? Or the afforemrntioned Jeff analyst who did the same..or better yet, Topeka whohad a $1,000 PT? As they say in Days of Thunder: "just drive through the smoke". We're in a new paradigm of guidance...the bar is low; it;s more emotional now; and, a big retail name; this is a classic shake out of weaker holders. AAPL's problems are mainly in China (17% of sales); 32% of the smartphone market...in the U.S., AAPL has the most loyal customer base on the planet? and, convergence...something none of these others have to their extent.
