NY Times lashes out at Lloyd Blankfein's (GS) non-apology for "participating in things that were clearly wrong and we have reasons to regret." Times wants Goldman to give "a multibillion-dollar gift to the federal Bureau of the Public Debt... The donation can come from the bonuses; that way, it would not harm shareholders, because they only get their cut after the bonuses are paid." [View news story]
Goldman Sachs screwed the American people over and they should feel pretty good about that... shouldn't they? Of course, it was never our choice to bail them out to begin with, so we all lose.

The model this week: "Freemium". This means that the basic app is free, with premium content available at a price. It makes sense and Apple has adjusted their App Store to include this model. As far as Droid goes... don't expect much. They'll end up owning about as much market share as Palm.
What Will the Next iPod Touch Offer? [View article]
Incidentally, I made my comment because I am one of the thousands of new developers working on their own iPhone apps. If I had no working knowledge of the hard reality of creating apps, I might have made the same errors the author of this piece made.

Another completely ill-informed bit of analysis. If you actually bother to talk to a person or company involved in application development for iPhone, you'll quickly discover that apps written for iPhone (and iPod touch) are created for one format only. They cannot be magically "resized" for another screen format. Pick up a book on programming that refers to the iPhone SDK, look into it for yourself and don't waste time parroting what AppleInsider tells you. They don't know any better either.

Apparently none of you have actually used neither Google Voice, nor have an iPod touch. If you did, you'd realize you CAN use GV on an iPod touch with no issues over a Wi-Fi connection. Get your facts straight before piling on, people.
How 'bout go back to just reporting what's "newsworthy" for 1 hour every night? Who gives a shyte about 24 hours a day of filler, celebrity sightings and grotesque self-promotion?
Why Apple's iTouch Tablet Will Become Its Flagship Product [View article]
I'm a developer. This statement is nonsense. Apps fit a specific size screen, they are not "generic" to resize for any kind of device. In addition, the whole notion that Apple is going to release a tablet computer is bull. It's a rumor being fed by AppleInsider. Origins of the rumor? Fanboys and stock manipulators.
