  • McKinsey & Co. Sees Only One Direction for Steel, Copper Prices [View article]
Interesting article; any suggestions on the best stocks to take advantage of this rise in prices foreseen by McKinsey? Or do we just round up the usual suspects?

  • DIY Dividend Investors Club (Part 5): Picking The Best Healthcare Stocks [View article]
Wait for a pullback on all of them. It will come sometime in October, and you'll get a lower price--how much lower I have no idea.

  • Examining Historical Margin Debt [View article]
It's a time to be fearful, no doubt, but the market has risen enormously on several similar occasions, so despite these indicators, the market could continue up for a long time, though I do believe we need at least a breather or short-term correction for that to happen. Problem is, my crystal ball is a little dull right now. For the next month, I'm thinking bonds and bond-like assets could do quite well. But for all practical purposes, the easy money has already been made in this bull phase of the market. It's hard to find real value stocks now.

  • Brookfield Office Properties Is An Out Of Favor Real Estate Play [View article]
If they're doing so well, how come the dividend is so low? Probably the reason investors aren't buying.

  • Insiders Are Buying These Ultra High Yielders [View article]
Great article, Bret. I wish I had the courage to go into the mREITs, but as a retiree, it may be a little too risky. But then again, maybe not.

  • Don't Let DC Scare You... Get Defensive! [View article]
I see, so there's a finite amount of silver and that's the reason you prefer it over gold. Makes no sense whatsoever. There's also a finite amount of gold. Sorry, bud, but that kind of thinking is not going to grab you a lot of followers. And it makes readers question your entire article.

  • The Best Undervalued Dividend Growth Stocks To Buy Today [View article]
ESRX doesn't have a dividend, but its FAST graph chart looks excellent. I wonder how many of these types of stocks are overlooked simply because they have no dividend, yet possess tremendous capital appreciation potential.

  • Should You Buy The Highs? [View article]
Despite provocative title, this article is devoid of any real work or thinking. The two comments have added more thinking than the entire article did.

  • Now Is The Time To Be Fearful [View article]
Terrific article, BJ. You've hit on a lot of the problems moving forward, and I'm quite fearful at this point. But I'm also wondering if the market will keep moving higher no matter what. The Fed is making some bad decisions, and we've made bad policy decisions as well. The government used to do some good things.'s just a mess, and it's affecting the private sector (if there is such a thing anymore) very adversely. Thanks for writing this. Exceptional analysis.

For some reason, these all sound less than top grade. I wouldn't put my money in a single one of them.

  • Larry Summers Withdraws - Implications For Investors [View article]
Lots better than Geithner. Besides that, he's said "no way is he a nominee." He's making so much in the private sector that it would be foolish to take the job. And he doesn't have the ego for it. Being the Fed chair wouldn't make him a cent more in the private arena. Glenn Hubbard would be a much better choice, but he's not in the Obama camp. Janet Yellen is better to continue what Mr. B started.

  • This Could Be The Perfect Stock For A Roth IRA [View article]
Many of the dividend increases have been minuscule; in fact, I'd go so far as to say almost all have been in that category, except the recent one after the acquisition.
