Boy am I glad to come across Seeking Alpha. As a 40 yr old who was always chasing the next hot stock I came across this thing called DGI by accident. It was as if a light went off. Why hadn't I come across this 15 years ago. Jumping in full force I've been a voracious reader of everything DGI over the last few months. The wealth of information and knowledge of the SA members is invaluable. I'm slowly but surely transforming my TD Ameritrade portfolio from one that was just plugging along with huge swings to the plus and then back to the negative to one that focuses on growing dividend champions. Although I have at least 25 years until retirement my goal is to successfully manage my portfolio so that I can seamlessly transition from living off a salary to living off the income my portfolio generates.
Recently began building a small 10% stake in my taxable account for high growth stocks that I will be trading in and out of over the course of 2014. I believe there are currently several stocks that might provide some huge potential gains.
