  • What's Wrong with Making Only the Safest Loans? [View article]
"I am concerned now that only the safest loans are being made."

Well, that needs to get corrected-- and pronto. Our government is standing by, bags of bailout cash at the ready-- and the banksters are only making safe loans ? What do they think the bailout money is for ?

Remember, this is the woman who said this just about 6 weeks ago.....

"We are the government, and our insurance is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. In short, we cannot run out of money."

One more time, just for fun.....

"In short, we cannot run out of money."

  • Time for California Muni Bond Investors to Take a Stand [View article]
The CA legislators have started to make big sacrifices in their own compensation. Sure, they have helped themselves to the highest pay package in the country, but they are now making a serious effort, such as this:

Effective this year, legislators will have their health insurance allotment of 2 free pair of prescription glasses per year (or sunglasses, if they do not wear prescription glasses) reduced to 1 free pair annually.

That is a 50% reduction. Real evidence of empathy with their fellow citizens.

If this wasn't going to hurt so many people, it would be funny. "Stupid" funny. Like that TV show, "America's Dumbest Criminals".
