    Make no mistake, Paulson as well as Hotchkiss & WIley might end up laughing last as it relates to Dow's violation of its contract with Rohm & Haas.

    The fact that
    the Kuwaiti investment authority might offer support for Dow Chemical's [DOW] merger with Rohm & Haas [ROH ] if the terms were "adjusted to reflect the new economic reality" must really peeve Liveris. Since he publicly claims he is looking at all options to close this deal, perhaps he ought to place a call to the Kuwaitis to see if they can hash things out. That is, assuming that investors can really trust his public statement: "....assume Rohm & Haas is our future." !
