  • Northeast Housing Delinquency Data: Housing Crisis Isn't Over Yet [View article]
"government is the problem not the solution" president reagan, and what does not suprise me is CT.voted for the same govn,t along with many other states.why, when a large enough class of people on the govt dole know they can vote for more dole, they do.Anyone wanting to work for a living now is the enemy of the govt. while it seeks to controll everything threw, taxes, regulation etc. What revelence? my mom retired(she just a laborer 50years)has house in CT.town 50years.House is in high end part of town,NOW not 50 years ago,and the property tax was rasied 300%! in 3 years to pay for the govts. free dole.Any investment now in a tangible asset not imediately liquid, that the govt. can tax OR regulate is albeit the medium term a LOSER.Real estate being top of the list.Govt now is absoluely taxing it to death and i really feel bad for older folks now who because of govt. cant stay in their home that they have been in some there whole life.AND govt then pushes these reverse mortgages on them that robs them of there equity with exssesive fees far more tha conventional loans with less work.If you are lower middle class like I and my family trying to stay off the dole dont ever think govt.is your friend.Govt wants to get rid of middle class.the only threat to govt. is the middle class. We dont get a crazy check every mounth.Be careful.trust no one.verify your own facts. sorry for the rant great article on NE real estate.ive been in it for 60years seeya

  • 10 Reasons Why Electric Drive Is Stranded On The Bleeding Edge Of Transportation Technology [View article]
no proof, but was told the carbon footprint of EV was far higher than SUV when considering disposal of batteries.AS long time mechanic, buying and fixing used cars i do not need a calculater to know gas is enormously cheaper than EV batteries in the long run.Its amazing, building cars to run on a 100 year old variation of a storage battery!Hell i pull my boat on trailer with an old ford generator using storage battery.Nothing new there either!

  • Facebook Investors: Stop Whining And Be Patient For Profit [View article]
my prediction, for what its worth.Facebook will do well, then make a mistake alienating its users trying to monitize ala Netflix. Sure would like to capture that gain though, but all the Zuck has to do is one bad decision and we lose.At least Netflix had a track record of growth in PROFITS to invest in and it crashed anyway.Sure FB may be a buy latter but not because it brags about number of users but its profit growth going FORWARD. Got no crystal ball, but i see FB going the same way as netflix in the end. I have not had or intend to have any position in either, but may gamble in FB after the 90 day lockup. Great article and coments

  • Why I Turned My Back On Jim Cramer [View article]
great article,AND thoughtful comments on such a polarizing topic in Cramer.Seeking Alpha is my # one go to site for info as it has such a wide array of world issues discused that all effect the market. As for Cramer i look for his opinons always as another tool for investing. i understand why some may not like his style, this can be serious for us,but keep in mind,Cramer, is childlike which is good, but NOT childish. Hats off to you for taking on such a contentious person as Cramer

  • Why I'm Against Portfolio Diversification [View article]
thought i was the only one crazy to put all my eggs in one basket till i read this.IMO this only works for someone who does all his own reserch like the author. The market is a casino.I compare this form of investing to the new breed of young poker players who unlike the older more "experenced" all of a sudden put all their chips on one hand and win it all confounding the old guard.I dont gamble.Been to vegas, not one quarter bet,not bad, lousey odds, and the time spent! I am 62 and have been in mkt 3 years and in that time have bought 4 stocks and sold 3.I am up,guessing at least 50%.knock on wood. This type of investing is NOT for the faint of heart.
