  • A Young Investor's Portfolio - 2013 Review [View article]
Great article. I'm a young DGI myself (27) and I'm planning on doing what several of the above posters have said. I have started accumulating quality DGI companies like MO, KO, etc and hope to work in some low yielding, potentially higher growth companies like V, MA, etc. I may also use some Vanguard funds for exposure to areas I'm not well read on just yet.. REIT's and other things. Anyways, thanks for the read and good luck to you!

  • Want To Buy Altria At 6% Yield ? Be Ready [View article]
I bought more MO this morning at $34.56 so I could have waited also BeachChicken, but I'm still pleased with it. Think MO's buy of Green Smoke is great and don't think this little difference in purchase price will matter in 10 years.

I am! Not sure it will make it honestly but would be delighted if it did. What are you thoughts on JNJ and PG at current levels? They are rocks in a DGI portfolio that I would like to add to my young portfolio soon. Both are starting to catch my eye a little and retreating from their overvalued status IMO

  • 2 Terrific Dividend Stocks On Sale [View article]
Thanks for the article TV. I'm a young DGI and like both these stocks. Already have PM in my Roth (unfortunately not at this price) so I picked up some T today. Unfortunately I was at the hospital when it hit the intra-day low but I am still happy with the prior 52week low price.. Hoping to hold these 2 companies for a long time. Keep up you articles, I always read them!

I took care of a patient the other day who had insurance from McDonalds.. so while I don't know their corporate policy I do know that your blanket statement isn't 100% correct.

Anyways, thanks for the article.. good read!
