  • Take The Emotion Out Of Apple [View article]
I found the guidance Apple gave was ridiculous, considering that they have China Mobile and DoCoMo. That makes me mad, and I expressed my feelings to Tim Cook (tcook@apple.com) and head investors relation N. Paxton (paxton1@apple.com).
Apple guidance killed all the momentum it had gathered recently.

  • Icahn buys more Apple shares following post-earnings selloff [View news story]
I found the conference call and the guidance disgusting. Icahn is right, but I do not think he will win, because Apple has big institutional shareholders like Calpers, and Fidelity in its pocket. Anyhow, I give my vote to Icahn, and sent Tim Cook an email (tcook@apple.com),
expressing my disapproval with him and his imperial board.

  • Apple's Secret Weapon Into Earnings And 2014 [View article]
Weekly option writers might rain on the parade of Apple this week. These people have been manipulating Apple shares in the past year, and continue to keep the Apple shares in a range. That is why every Friday Apple shares are down. I wish everybody wrote to Tim cook asking him to put an end to this. Tcook@apple.com
By the way the best way to stop this is a stock split of 10 to 1. This to a great extent offsets the attempt of weekly option writers and hedge funds, by widening the pool of investors allowing retail investors to be able to buy shares when they are down. Apple shares are now hostage to its options.

  • Apple Earnings Preview: 15% Forward EPS/Revenue Growth Probably As Good As It Gets [View article]
Brian: The stock fell because the Wall Street found out that there was no offering of new products till Fall, and the eps of Q1 13 (13.81) was less than last year (13.87), and above all the margin dropped to 38.6% from 44.7%. Now WS has accepted 38% margin for Apple. The total cash this quarter will exceed $160 B. Can you imagine what a noise just Icahn will make? Tim Cook also, sais that will be new products and new categories in 2014. That is going to be a different game this year.

  • Apple Earnings Preview: 15% Forward EPS/Revenue Growth Probably As Good As It Gets [View article]
I agree with you, but remember : a great Q1 EPS, and a great guidance will lower the P/E
even lower, and Wall Street can not lower the p/e even further. Another point I forgot to mention I expect Apple this quarter to make over $20B in cash flow.

  • Apple Earnings Preview: 15% Forward EPS/Revenue Growth Probably As Good As It Gets [View article]
Apple will show a revenue of $62B, and EPS of $15.29. This big improvement comes from huge IPad sales and IPhone (my est. for IPad 29m, and IPhone 58m). Analysts sit in their warm offices and play with figures. I travel the world and look. This quarter will be blow out of blow outs. Remember my words. I submitted an article on the details to SA, but was not published due to grammatical errors!!!
Guidance will be blow out too. On Jan.10 Back Friday sales in Asia, Apple online for all those countries went from 24hr delivery to 5-7 days (except China), and were long lines outside Apple stores.

  • Apple At $525 A Share Would Be A Gift [View article]
I hope this answers your concern:
Let me tell you something that nobody has noticed. I have been to many Apple stores in the past 3 months, watching and monitoring the people buying IPads and IPhones. One thing that stands up is
people who buy these products as an upgrade/replacement are not buying them in 16GB, but they are switching to 32/64, and in case of IPad even 128 GB. The retail price from 16 to 32 goes up by $100, whereas it costs Apple less than $10.
For example the guy who buys
a 64 GB IPad to replace his previous 16 GB pays $200 more, and this just costs Apple $20 on extra GB.That is $180 more on top of the original margin. The bottom line is the margin this quarter will be huge. I reckon to be 40%. All the people who have had IPad and IPhones before now realize that 16GB is not enough to have their photos, music, videos, books, documents, movies, etc., and move to a higher GB.

The guy who wrote this stupid report, does not know the difference between pre-registration and
pre-order. China Mobile has not announced yet its price/subsidy.

  • Is this the low-cost iPhone (AAPL)? Taiwanese custom phone maker Techdy has posted images of what it claims is the shell for a cheaper iPhone. As previously rumored (I, II, III), the phone is said to have a 4" display (same dimensions as the iPhone 5) and plastic chassis - Techdy adds the chassis "feels more sturdy" than those of Samsung's Galaxy phones (they also use plastic), and that it suggests the phone will have thinner bezels than the iPhone 5. No details about the phone's display resolution, camera image sensor, or CPU. (Piper's margin analysis[View news story]
In many tech sites these pictures were called fake, as the phone does not show any button on its face or sides. it is fake.

  • A Deal With China Mobile Could Be A Catalyst For Apple [View article]
Last year Tim Cook was in China, he met the head of China Mobile, and announced officially that they have signed a confidentiality agreement. That's why Tim Cook does not talk about it. If Apple was not going to be in CM why they signed this.

  • Apple: Short-Term Challenges, Long-Term Optimism [View article]
Apple's share collapse continues. This situation can not go on. Markets want
a new product and wants it now. When last October Mr. Cook introduced Ipad
mini, what the heel he was thinking? That he has nothing up his sleeve for
another year? He then goes on Apr.23 saying till Fall he has nothing to show, telling
Samsung it is all yours now, go and capitalize on this opportunity and gain market
share. Then, on May 28, he says new products will be announced when they are
ready. In other words stop bothering us now.
Put all the above together, now do you realize that why Apple shares are falling?
This guy is screwing up left and right.

  • Apple (AAPL) has its price target cut to $405 from $420 by Jefferies' Peter Misek who says elevated inventory levels indicate the company may cut H2 iPhone builds as it preps the potential release of the iPhone 5S this fall and the iPhone 6 in 2014. Misek sees iPhone builds in FQ3 of 25-30M from 40-45M previously. "Memory module makers have recently been reallocating orders in Q3 away from Apple and toward emerging market players." Shares -1.3% premarket. [View news story]
aardvak3: Exactly. His friend Glen YEung of Citi, will be the next. They work in tandem.
