its always been a poor performer as far as regional banks. I have followed it for years and it was always on the bottom of the list for earnings, etc. However, it was a good dividend payer. Not any more. Much better places to be. The finanical industry had its run and is over. do something else
the lousey govt is trying to get banks to raise more cash so they can mandate they use it to buy treasury securities. They will have so much to sell they will ram it down the banks throat. Capitilism, i feel sorry for geithner going to china to convince them how great the dollar is. What a sell!!
