$TSLA bulls are funny. If it were a disruptor, why is $PPO & $SQM in a strong downtrend?

    • earthtodan: That's easy, SQM is a Potash supplier, it's 40% of their business. See drama in the potash business of late.

    • earthtodan: The biggest lithium supplier is Rockwood Holdings $ROC, their stock has been doing great and they just posted an earnings beat.

    • earthtodan: They're also selling off other parts of their business to focus on lithium.

    • 1980XLS: SQM is bigger, while $ROC may be more of a pure play. What's your excuse for $PPO?
      11/12/13
    • earthtodan: Huh. If SQM being heavy in a different business, and the lithium pure play doing great are excuses, what would good answers sound like?

    • earthtodan: The ROC conference call is a good read. They sold off 7 non-Li segments and took pains to highlight the growth of their Li business.

    • earthtodan: Not familiar with PPO

    • 1980XLS: ALL batteries of all types require $PPO products. If you are trading $TSLA, you should have already been aware of that.

    • earthtodan: Not trading TSLA, the stock is too expensive, but I'm bullish on the company.
