  • Dividends On Steroids: Learn Step-By-Step, As I Build A Real $400,000 Income Portfolio [View article]
    Why Brazil ?
I too am considering a few years abroad.
Thailand,Panama,Belize are at the top of my list.
As for stocks being called away...
I may look at doing something similar for a portion of my large share quantity holdings.
Most of the stocks we own,I hope to marry,as in buy and hold.
My two largest holdings are T and O,O being in a direct invest account.
I would hate to have half my T called away, only to see it soar to $40
    Just thinking out loud...

Not sure what your bank or loan company will allow you to get away with.
If you send in half your payment every 2 weeks, you can reduce the number of years without any additional financial sacrifice.
Most people get paid every 2 weeks anyway,it actually makes budgeting easier.

  • Avoid Nike Because Of Its New $12 Billion Share Buyback Plan [View article]
    NKE has cult like following.
It is one of those stocks that valuation is priced on what people will pay,not what the stock is worth, much like their shoes.
Somewhere out there is a credit manager named Mike Merino.
Mike loaded up on NKE way back in 88,and I should have listened.

  • The Merger That Was Promised: Pfizer And Allergan [View article]

  • The Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF Is Better Than Social Security [View article]

How about paying your fair share directed at me ?
    If so,let me enlighten you.
I began supporting myself at age 13,by age 16, 2 jobs.
As a part timer, led my district in overtime worked.
Promoted to full time simply because I outworked 99% of my co workers.
I know what hard work is.

I am not at all suggesting those who paid more into the system, not get back more out of the system.
I am of the generation that worked, not pushed buttons and gave smart ass answers.
    I believe in capitalism,not socialism.
That being said, our politicians squandered the funds, and have not replaced them.
They should be held accountable for their actions,as I would be if I ripped off your parents.
They can fix the system, but it wouldnt be popular with the wealthy

  • The Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF Is Better Than Social Security [View article]
SS has the easiest fix in the world.
Everyone pays 3%,on every dollar earned.
Stop the we only tax the little guy mentality, yet politicians cater to high income.
This is a good solid ETF,except I hold most of those positions directly.
I do wonder about the future of PFE,seems all we read about is what Allergan shareholders get from the deal, while most PFE shareholders feel screwed....
