I have been using the above system to purchase shares for over a year now.
The only negative is tax if you take some capital gains to buy shares in a new position.
Example : I collected some nice dividends and share appreciation from HNZ,which becomes a taxable event moving into my next position.

As a owner of JNJ I look for the next tylenol scare,as I try to focus on quality companies that handle crisis.
WFC is about the only US bank I would own,the bitter taste in my mouth has not left after our financial meltdown.
If you research the Canadian banks,you will see how far this great country has fallen in the ethics .
CCL has had a ton of bad press,still pays a nice divvy if you have the "stones".

If you study some past history of Japan,they had a 20 year period of low interest rates.

I think the sweet spot for dividend income investors is around 3.5,therefore any quality stocks paying 4% and above will be less hit.
