Vette,
My favorite sector......... I own MO,PM,LO,VGR Love vice stocks
I also feel "in the big picture" these companies will take over the legalized marijuana industry, years down the road. Law suits are part of the biz for them, just like big oil. Legalized MJ is the next frontier for tobacco companies. DAMN the TORPEDOES. Full speed ahead.....

RS, As you know I am a student here and not a teacher. However, I still have my own beliefs from researching. In my humble opinion a correction is coming, however in the "BIG PICTURE" it will not hold back the dow. That being said, I closed my position in MCD this week along with taking some gains in my mutual funds. It is my feeling that the longer we remain in a long term zero interest rate environment, the more bond funds will fall. I hope to buy back MCD at a later time, and while some of you will scream it will go higher,I have other stocks/MLP's/REITS that I like. I am keeping my realized gains at 50% of my unrealized gains. This is a high wire balancing act, since I need dividends for income. Ralph published a excellent article today on some defensive moves. I am considering opening a position in ETJ as a defensive income move. Ralph also suggests BKT,JGG,MIN,FMY.

My rule is,,,when a stock has run up,,,sell half. Re deploy the funds into something like MO,SO,DUK Wait for a correction and buy more if it is a core holding. I have bought and sold both COP and XOM the last few years. I consider both a core holding, but I sell half if the stock shows me a big unrealized gain.
