I used to hold CKSW and quite a bit of it. CKSW retained the services of an amazing IR consultant a couple of years ago who worked wonders with getting them in front of analysts who picked up coverage and investors who followed them. I used to speak with him regularly and was amazed at the roadshows he described he was able to organize for this tiny company. I recently spoke with this consultant and was shocked to find out that CKSW hasn't done any marketing with him this year at all. They seem to only be relying on their covering analysts for occasional meetings and conferences. Are you kidding me???!!! Clearly, while they may be trying to build a business, they are trying to do IR on the cheap and it's absurd. Where is the commitment to enhancing shareholder value? Do you mean to tell me that you have not looked into what they are doing IR-wise before writing this article touting their stock? That's a MAJOR reason I have having some serious doubts about this management's abilities and understanding of effective IR outreach. Who cares if they are building a business that the right institutional investors aren't even hearing about??? I'd love to see you address this void in their company.
This company has a lot of potential, but one thing they are NOT doing is getting the word out to investors. They had an IR guy who many consider to be THE best IR guy out there and I was in touch with him about this company on a regular basis. He was largely responsible for all existing analyst coverage. Imagine my surprise when I called him earlier this year and he said that he was no longer representing them! The sense I got was that it was money-based. If management doesn't recognize a strong value-add like that, how much confidence do I have in them to take this company forward??? How much confidence should I have????

Not so fast, Alphameister. I recently spoke with a PM who holds a very large position in the company and he said that the company has cut off its external IR. From all indications, their former IR rep did wonders at getting this company its coverage and then some. No guidance whatsoever? Doesn't sound like the move of a company expecting good things...proceed cautiously!!!!
