  • Can Wal-Mart Survive Generation Y? [View article]
"Oh yes, and one more thing. Gen. Y is on track to become the greenest and most humanitarian generation in U.S. history. If one wants to do business with them they had better be very green and very nice to their fellow mankind. And popular perception is that Wal-Mart has a dismal record on both accounts. "

  • Amazon: What a Difference a Decade Makes in the Eyes of Barron's [View article]
I think, if anything, that the author is questioning market analysts, eg. Barrons 10 years ago and now. I don't see that he is promoting AMZN; if he is, we probably should question his opinion, too!

    Axelrod608 says:

Here in the New World, commercial real estate and automakers are teetering on the edge of the cliff. Hang on and keep your seatbelts fastened.

If I am in a car teetering on the edge of the cliff, the last thing I might want to do is to hang on and keep my seat belt fastened. I am going to try to get out of that car any way I can. I'm not sure what this means in terms of the analogy; I just know I don't want to go down with the business
